I go to Luogo del Giulio every now and then on Saturday evenings, and it's always a great place for dinner. The owner is welcoming and also has drinks at the counter to start with (try the locally produces apple juice if you're not after alcoholic drinks).The menu offers a good selection of traditional Friulian food (meat, cheese) along with pasta dishes. Food is good and sizes are generous. Also the deserts are worth a try.After dinner it's always nice to go at the counter again for a chat with the owner, while sipping a grappa. The place also sells locally grown apples and walnuts.

starter was nice, branzino not great. the typical place where there is too much fuss and prices too high for what it is .we were the only customers, i am not surprisedSorry about your disappointment. Being the only customers is not always a negative sign. By the way, our staff is always more than willing to help and give advice, guiding you throughout the menu. Concerning the prices, in our menu there are different options starting from â¬28, according to the standards and considering the choices offered. We would be glad to host you again.

A True Dining Extravaganza and a wine list to match! The owners will delight your palate like you cannot imagine. Their gracious hospitality and professional approach coincides with their marvelous talents. Be prepared to enjoy a few hours of bliss, and trust their recommendations on their freshly prepared selections and a treasure chest of wines. Worth going though not highly visible. Make reservations!

Pizzeria Da Mario is our favorite place in the Maniago area and never fails to disappoint. We usually get take-out--the service is very fast, the price is good and the selection is huge. It opens very early for dinner and I stop by often on my way home from work (I believe it opens at 5:00 or possibly earlier). My wife is partial to the Pizza Goloso and if you like a lot of toppings, it is the way to go. I like the more traditional pizzas, but everything I have tried there has been good. It used to get crowded inside during the winter, but they recently in-closed the outdoor seating area and I imagine this eased the overcrowding somewhat. The renovation did change the ambiance for the worse, but the pizza is still suburb.

Una sorpresa. Nella Piazza, di fronte all'hotel dove abbiamo spesso soggiornato, non sapevo che questa piccola enoteca avesse pure una ancor più piccola parte "ristorante". Quattro tavoli, un po troppo di baccano che comunque è un buon segno (la presenza di tantissimi avventori, seduti ed in piedi è sinonimo di "si beve e si mangia bene"...). Prosciutto "strepitoso" (vi piace vincer facile...), idem le tagliatelle ai funghi e la tagliata (cottura perfetta, carne di qualità ), un po sottotono gli gnocchi (ma siamo terribilmente viziati da quelli fatti a mano, a casa e con patate istriane...). Solito vino ...nel senso che in Friuli è sempre ottimo. Al tutto aggiungiamo la semplice cortesia di tutto il personale (tengono ritmi di lavoro spaventosi senza mai perdere il sorriso e la parola) e la serata, alla fine, è di quelle da ricordare. E, magari, ripetere.

Very nice dinner among friends. We had a wonderful prosciutto crudo as appetizer, followed by frico (a sort of melted cheese) with borlotti beans, polenta and bell peppers. As second course a wonderful chunk of meat. We drunk Schioppettino by Gigante. Evertything was delicious and properly priced. Recommended.

We live right down the street from this little place and we love it! They have great pizzas and kebabs. They dont speak a ton of English but enough to get by and are super friendly. Good prices as well! Theres no indoor seating but you can sit out on the patio on a nice day and eat.

Tucked away from the main Maniago square, this restaurant was a wonderful find!! It was recommended to us by a friend in Arba, and we were instantly treated like family. The food was wonderful - a great selection and the option of menus in English. The service was friendly and prompt - so very nice. The owner came out to meet us, and we fell in love with the quaint atmosphere and professional service. We will go back regularly! Highly recommended!

The natives of Maniago are very fortunate to have this lovely restaurant in their locality. We were delighted to have had the opportunity to dine there with our family, who live locally and treated us to dinner. The proprietors are a husband and wife team who know their stuff. The menu was diverse, interesting and most importantly delicious and each course was expertly paired with wine. The service was friendly and efficient and every dish and wine pairing was explained to us. Iâm already looking forward to a return visit, as this is well worth a trip and apparently the menu changes regularly to take advantage of seasonal ingredients.
