Arrived at 4.15 to be told the kitchen didnât open till 5.00. We asked if we would have time to order and eat before 6pm as the children needed to be at a dance lesson. We were told that food came out of the kitchen quickly and this wouldnât be a problem. We ordered food at 5pm, unfortunately they had allowed many other people to order food before the time they told us we could order and at 5.45 there was still no sign of any food. We had to cancel the order and take the children to buy a sandwich at the local coop.Hi Simondsvale,I'm very sorry to hear you couldn't wait for your food to arrive yesterday. We are positive that if you had sampled the food your review score would have increased, but as you say you didn't have time to do so. We take our customers satisfaction very seriously and I would love for you to get in touch so I can make up for this personally. Read previous reviews and decided to try the restaurant for a pre theatre meal. Certainly not disappointed. Lovely staff, excellent service and well presented enjoyable food. I shall definitely return. I highly recommend paying the extra for the cheeseboard. It was excellent. Booked at the same time as booking theatre tickets so my advice is do the same. Payed in advance so actually it was great to only have to pay for drinks and supplement for cheese.

I love to go to Grand Cafe on a Saturday night, full of nice people instead of "pissheads", the security guards are attentive and are there to assist you, if you need. The decor is amazing and so are the cocktails. Highly recommend.

Always wanted to come here after reading about the restaurant and Master Chef credentials- just happened to be on other business and walked by- and in.We had the butter bean wrap with salad, and jack fruit burger and fries. The wrap could have been served hotter- it was on the luke warm side of hot- my burger was ok but served with very small fries, not like the ones pictured n here.Nice combination of spices and textures and tastes on both meals- but difficult to eat as served in small trays, there is no better serving utensil as a hot plate for hot food!.Very good young waitress serving by herself and just starting to fill up when we left.All in all a nice lunch time meal- a few tweaks here and there and it would have special.Hi thanks for your message - we are happy to put things on plates by request of course, we just like to present some of our dishes a little differently.
