If one needs to experiment authentic south indian cuisine, this is the place for you. It is really rare to fish a restaurant that serves varagu arisi pongal, kollu soup, schezwan, coleslaw, etc. under one roof. Being a veggie, i was quiet surprised with a wide range of options i was exposed to. With a very bite you will get to know how fresh and organic the food is. My non-vegetarian friends couldnât stop with just one karuvapillai chicken each. They were all praise for the naattukozhi choru as well. Non-veggies, give it a shot! Having a sweet tooth, i fell head over heels with their desserts. esp., the ilaneer payasam. Simple ones, yet yummy! The service of the restaurant was really good and the staff were very welcoming. by the time you realise how good the food is, you are already mesmerised with the ambience. Kadambavanam is well known for its peaceful and hustle-free environment. But its more than that, i say. Be it a birthday bash, corporate meet, friends reunion or even a solo dine, this place would be my top pick.Overall, it is a place breezing with fresh air, chirping sound of the birds and delicious food, indeed. I feel this would be the only restaurant in Madurai which does not offer a decent South Indian meal. Even at 1 PM, most of the items on the South Indian Thali were cold and some even smelled stale. North Indian food felt good for dinner. Restaurant didn't appear fresh as most of the table clothes were dull and some were stained. Pleasant smell is missing for this class of restaurant.

This is the coffee shop of JC Restaurant of Madurai. The buffet spread is very decent. Breakfast buffet has live counter for egg delicacies & dosas.The dinner buffet menu changes daily. Went with family to this place for lunch on our first day in Madurai. We were just looking for a decent place to eat and this was the closest to JC Residency in Vishal Mall. Food, Ambience, Liquor, Service everything was great. Not too expensive and not too cheap. Ofcourse as it was during lunch there was no crowd hence could take our kid along but not sure of the crowd at other times.

Had been to barbecue nation for 'fathers day' the welcome was good.Staff were friendly and curtious.They have standardised the tastes just as in Chennai bangalore ahmedabad etc.Grilled Prawns,chicken,fish and mutton were marinated well. They kept refilling pretty often.Kids enjoyed the food.Their cocktails were also one of a kind.Overall a perfect place for families and friends.

Lot of young boys and a few families were having dinner when we went there. Only buffet option was available for both veg and nonveg. Food was served hot and made with fresh ingredients. For veg. many vegetables - Onion tomato capsicum mushroom cucumber and paneer-cottage cheese, pineapple were served along with potatoes in cashew sauce. For nonveg it was chicken fish prawns. For dessert there were pastries, fresh fruits ice-cream and gulab jambon. Service was fast, good.

This is in Regency by GRT hotel and is perhaps the best fine dine in town. We stayed there for a day and had buffet dinner. Amazing Yummilicious foods and offers a great choice on its buffet spread. Chef was very courteous and was interactive. Spread offers Indian, Chinese and Local delicacies and continental for international tourist. I suspect many of the reviews here are staff written. I arrived upstairs at 4pm, the advertised opening time. I was told to wait until 4.15pm for the kitchen to open. At this time I made my order. I was surprised that it took 1 hour for the meal to be prepared and served, received at 5.15pm, and after meals were served to other guests who arrived after me. The meal was cold and crumbly, and was burnt (charred black around the edges and not pleasant). I triple checked to see if I was at the right place, which I was. Would not return. Regret that you had a poor experience at our property but suspecting that many reviews are written by our own staff is preposterous! Each reviewer has their own story to tell, whether good or bad. A bad review from your side is understandable as you could have your own preferences but accusing us of deceiving our patrons by fake reviews is definitely not in good taste. Assuring all our patrons of our best services possible!Bon appetit!

I think this used to be an apartment hotel. The eating/sitting area is shared between three bedrooms of which are all ensuite. Breakfast is brought up to the eating are in the morning.This is slightly out of the centre but a short tuk tuck drive gives easy access.
