The name is credited to the Brahmin immigrants who migrated to the Konkan via Magadha in Gangetic India from Āryāvarta, in the north-western part of the Indian sub-continent. Bardez or more properly Bara (twelve) desh (country) means "twelve countries" (or lands). The form "country" probably refers to clan territorial limits, or to the Brahmin comunidades, of which the twelve, in no particular order, are Aldona, Moira, Olaulim, Nachinola, Siolim, Anjuna, Candolim, Serula, Saligao, Sangolda, Assagao and Pomburpa

Very relaxing atmosphere with excellent food and service. The first time in 3 weeks I was tempted to not eat Indian Food as they have very good European options on the menu. Very good quality food although we felt it was overpriced compared to other place we ate during our stay. Always busy and very popular with Europeans.Thank you so much for your review greatly appreciated.

Our hotel had a shuttle that dropped guests off at the Arpora end of Baga Beach. As soon as you hit the beach, staff from the literally dozens of beach shacks tout for your business, all free sunbeds and promising great comfort in exchange for buying the odd drink, perhaps a meal or snack and maybe partaking in a neck massage or pedicure. A quick scan soon shows the more popular shacks and a quick look at the TripAdvisor best beach shacks on Baga leads you to the Shining Star. Needless to say it is also one of the busiest and although it became our go to shack on one occasion we had to go elsewhere because they had no sunbeds free. The sunbeds are a little crammed together but the staff will move the umbrellas to keep you in or out of the sun as you wish. The staff are very friendly and not at all pushy, the beds have clean towels and the food in the shack is very good and reasonably priced.We had what they call laffi rolls but others call Kathi Rolls and they were very generous portions (one would serve two for lunch). It was so busy you knew the food was fresh and although we didn't get back at night for the BBQ I was told that was also excellent by another guest. The beach is so long you need to find a shack that is close by to where you are coming on the beach so for this part of Baga I recommend the Shining Star.

A lovely Restaurant with nice clean Toilets and Premises. Excellent food and Service. Nice tasty food although quite spicy for some tastes so ask for mild if in doubt. Quite a busy place so may need to book in advance. Prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere was friendly and comfortable.

Out of the Box dishes and well platted. The restaurant serves Goan Poi Pizza a very tasty twist. The Thai or Italian were all served and tasted different. The flavours were well balanced and we all enjoyed the meal. The dessert Bonafie Pie and Chocolate platter were also different and tasty. A good place to visit. While the location & ambience is good, the food & drink is average at best and highly overpriced. Moreover the owners do not take feedback well and therefore are unlikely to improve. On a 'Google review' they pasted a link in response which said that one can be prosecuted for giving a bad review. As a paying customer I'd like to see that happen Donât preach to us on accepting feedback, we do accept genuine feedback and know when to ignore feedback especially when it comes due to pricing. We have grown or multiplied our business only by listening to our guests who we host. Our guests exactly know what to expect and donât find it highly overpriced like how you have mentioned In your review.I wonder why you walk in a restaurant knowing what it is going to cost you at the end of the meal and not only that! you ordered 2 items among to 6 of you asked for 4 potions of bread, wiped you plate clean and when we followed up on your table you said â all was ok â . A little piece of advice when you are on holiday with your family, especially with children go to places where they can at least have a full meal instead of shouting them down when they tried to order from the menu .What could have gone wrong with the classic traditional Goan food. Especially when we serve on an average of 150 covers a day on weekendsDonât worry the law is in place and the restaurant association is getting its act together because guests like you need know how much effort goes in running a restaurant and just because we are way beyond your budget goes not make us terrible or if we respond does not mean we are arrogant.I applaud you for making time to post a one star review on all food blogging sites, you seemed to be mean the way you handled your family how I wished you proved me wrong.You are a genuinely miserable person and it seems you have lots of time to open account and post the one and only terrible review.

We called into this place after reading about it on TA. As most people have said, the food here is very good and a very different choice when compared with most other establishments in these parts, but certainly, quite a lot more expensive than most other restaurants too. The service was attentive and the owner was present and very pleasant to talk to. We really enjoyed our visit, (although they do need to check out how to make a Margarita cocktail).thank you for visiting...we will do our best next....

I would like to inform you that since the inception of Go with the Flow in the year 2013, we have had 3 well renowned International Chefs change hands and that has given Go with the Flow a greater and better variety of different flavors from the countries of our Chefs resulting in GO WITH THE FLOW growing more flavorful and aware of the change and wants in its customers as well.Since you mentioned burgers, I would like to say YES we have burgers and that too is of an international standard just like our Chefs. We have also added Vegan food and Keto dietary requirements along with Low Carbs are taken into consideration.I hope you followed that too.If you plan to visit us again this November, I would love to make sure to you leave with a palate full of flavors that will have you coming back for more. 12 trips to this shack and it never disappoints us. Lovely shack boys. Food is awesome. Dennis is a proper gent who always makes a point of greeting everyone in person. Will arrange airport and any trip at good prices. Highly recommend this one.

We heard about this restaurant from a family friend and decided to check it out. We were not disappointed. We were greeted immediately and shown to our table. The staff were very attentive. I ordered Beef Wellington and my husband a pork chop. An apperitive was brought to our table.The food took about 20 minutes to arrive but was worth waiting for. The presentation was perfect and the taste was just what I had hoped for.For desert I chose Pavlova.Thank you Gwen for your wonderful review. We are glad you enjoyed the meal and service and had a memorable experience at Amavi.
