Historically a part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, the population was 13,668 at the 2011 census. It is in two portions: that south of the river includes the historic town of Otley; that north of the river is Newall, which was formerly a separate township. The town is in lower Wharfedale on the A660 which connects it to Leeds.

Like many old timers this venue in the days of old was a great little chef . For many a year it's become a favourite curry house but a bit far for us . A bright Sunday morning though makes it a spot to run out to and then a buffet lunch. Easy parking sets the mood for a pleasant lunch. Then everything was just so pleasant. The staff good spirited and friendly sat us at a pleasant table. The atmosphere was relaxing, though busy. What a difference a good carpet plus tablecloths and linen napkins make. Nice to see a mix of customers from babes to us oldies but without modern day loudness. We had the buffet , which is less expensive at lunch time and thus not as extensive. Still just how much more do you need? Everything was fresh and tasty and the odd delay for replenishments gave us time to enjoy the efficient service. Full marks at the end of the meal when the sweet display was depleted, but still a small choice, the waiter prior to refilling the table came and offered us first choice . Thank you for that thoughtful gesture.

I love it here, it's not your 'typical' Bradford curry house (dont be expecting a tikka masala on this menu!) It has a great range of tasty starters and mains- the garlic butter kahrai is to die for! Good drinks and did I mention they do NUTELLA SAMOSAS!!!!! A bit more expensive than other local options but I would choose here every time!

The staff look after you from entering the door. Friendly staff. They make sure you have everyting you need.Good menu, choice fo things not often on other menus else where. Monk fish, pheasant. Made a nice change. The food is excellent. Bring your own alcohol is allowed or you can buy in the restaurant. One thing I missed, no Lassi to finish. But that's just my thoughts.There is enough space for tables to be moved about to accommodate large groups or just intimate tables for two.Nice decor, I do think a nice environment adds to the experience and this did not dissapoint.Good flat access for anyone with limited walking ability.Parking nearby at the rear of Queens Hall community hall car park.

We can't recommend this Restaurant enough. The Chef caters for any special dietary needs and it is always consistantly excellent.All the staff are very helpful and friendly. The food is not overpriced and it's always an enjoyable evening.Here is an image of the healthy delicious salad with chicken tikka.

Every time I drive past this place always looks busy. Booked prior to going to a show in Otley. Had starters and then mains. Fantastic grub, coming from Bradford had loads of curries . Will be back and haighly recommend for a place to eat in Otley.

Went on a groupon which stated 4 courses without any restrictions for£24.95. We booked in advance and arrived on time at 19.00 . Waiter insisted that choice was limited to £3.95 dishes only- he refused to accept that the error was theirs.Eventually noted our order which included two more expensive dishes - lamb chop starter and king prawn tandoori at 19.40 then we waited 40mins for poppadums and wine which we knew were extra and would pay for. Then waited more than 1 hr for our dishes to be served. Service was surly and we felt that we were being punished for their mistake. Complained to groupon but not expecting any action thereAvoid this merchant at all costs.

Looking for a local curry ahead of an early start for a flight and Red Pepper was amazing. Tracked our way to it by following the amazing smells which drifted down the cobbled streets of Otley and were so glad we did. Pleasant staff greeted and seated us quickly and the fresh popadoms arrived swiftly with an amazing pickle selection. In addition to onions, mango and mint yoghurt, our two faves were the blended mixed pickle and the spicy sweet tomato. Delish. For mains, we enjoyed a chicken Jaipuri and a chicken tikka Balti. Both were amazing and right up there with the best weâve ever had. Beautiful sauce, tender chicken and plenty of it. Nice to have it served hot and sizzling in a cast iron dish. Lovely. Naan was huge and light and pilau rice flavoured and plentiful. We will happily return here ahead of our next flight from Leeds. Only 8 minutes drive from Bramhope where we stayed at the Britannia Hotel. A hidden gem! Hello Andy.
