I with my wife, son and grandson visited the restaurant in the pouring rain on Saturday night. We had a good selection of starters for which my grandson suddenly came awake and his chopsticks also came alive as he devoured the seaweed, crackers and the duck. Everyone enjoyed their mains me of course ordering the chairmans stewed pork which I think is amazing. We all enjoyed the food and the evening as a whole as the staff are so friendly and have a good sense of humour. We will be visiting again and can recommend this fine dining chinese restaurant.

First visit and stayed very simple had the nut burgers. Good food really tasty and filling just a real pity about the environment. Really needs some refurb scratches across walls lighting good enough to light a football match not really either relaxing or gentle. I know it is vegetarian and vegan but that doesn't mean it needs to be lacing good vibes. Please owners pull your fingers out and pay some attention to your customers comfort. You are nearly there with great food just go the extra mile.

After being a customer at Crumbs Kitchen for a good couple of years, I really feel uncomfortably returning to there ever again, because what I can only describe as disappointing customer service from the manager this morning.Previous to this incident I have received excellent customer service from all the staff – including the manager - and they never failed to give high standard quality of food and coffees. I highly recommend the Big Vegan Breakfast; chilli beans topped with vegan cheese, and they have a wide range of vegan milks for your coffees and teas. It also has a wide range of vegan snacks, meals and desserts – and mostly homemade. The cafe also has a large canopy outside that shades you from the sun and shelters you from the rain. All the years I have been there I have never had an accident and they all were always very nice to my dog.Today, however, I give my Dalmatian dog (of whom is very popular with most customers and passers-by) her food in its disposable plastic food tray outside. The tables outside are not very secure, my dog accidentally pushed her small plastic disposable food tray into the bottom of the table, the table nearly fell over, but unfortunately a large coffee cup fell off and smashed along with a bottle of water. It was the first accident myself and my dog have ever had there, nevertheless, even though I was genuinely apologetic, the manager gave me a ticking off in a schoolmistress manner in front of everyone which was highly humiliating and embarrassing. I already felt awful about the incident, so even if she spoke to me about the incident in such a manner without an audience – I should still have the same opinion of that it was so unnecessary, embarrassing and humiliating – all over a damaged coffee cup.I should have preferred a more polite and reassuring reaction, such as ‘are you and your dog okay?’ or ‘Don’t worry about it!’I possibly should understand her reaction if it was a recurring incident.I continued to apologise and offered to pay for the cup – but she kindly replied it’s okay. The main reason I feel uncomfortable returning to Crumbs is because I go there to relax, the managers reaction to the incident has made me feel uncomfortable returning. I suffer with stress and anxiety, and with the previous customer service along with the nice food and coffee - it helped me to relax eating and drinking there – it was the highlight of my day – now I don’t think I can ever relax there again.Another reason for not wanting to return there is because I have a few visual impairments and mobility issues – and I am frightened in case I cause another miner accident – however – I usually ensure there is no unnecessary clutter on the table I am using to prevent any such accidents. If you are lucky enough not to have any mobility issues or visual impairments, and don’t take your dog there (in-case of an accident) it is a very nice place to eat and drink.Hi Brian, We are really sorry that you felt that way, that was not the intention at all and again I apologise. You are a valued customer and we love having you here. We hope that you can forgive this misunderstanding and will come back and join us. Both yourself and your dog are welcome here anytime, and we would be happy to offer you a free coffee and doggie treat for the inconvenience. Again we are really sorry you felt that way. Many thanks, Becs
