My Mum and I visited this restaurant whilst in Belfast at the weekend. We chose food off the 'Beat the Builders' menu and could not have been more impressed. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the flavours were scrumptious. The value for money was brilliant too. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Belfast.

My husband and I chose to eat breakfast here. My husband chose the small breakfast which he said was ok. I chose the pancakes and bacon. All I can say is best not to choose the pancakes. They were soaked in some sort of grease which tasted of other fried foods. It was obvious that the pancakes had been fried alongside other foods. The bacon had very probably been reheated and was completely dried up.There was a sparse amount of some kind of syrup on the plate which was most definitely not Maple syrup. The surroundings are dingy to say the least and I wouldn't recommend having food here. I agree with previous reviews that it is a greasy spoon cafe and I cannot see how anyone could give it positive reviews. Best to avoid in my opinionHi with all the respect. yesterday morning Tuesday 15 Oct 2019 you visit us for breakfast with your husband .I am the one who served you ( Alex ) you ordered coffee and tea, pancake stack and a small fry. I alex asked you was everything ok with your food you said very clear yes thank you and you ate everything on the plate.I would understand if you had complained yesterday about the food but you did not.The way you described the situation no one will pay for food what they don't eat or like. Our syrup is 100 percent maple syrup flavour, our bacon is cooked fresh every day . we do not reheat food.I feel it is very unfair you put up a review like this and all our food is cooked separate as we have alot of our customers that have allergies. we definitely use maple flavour syrup, and Thick cut Unsmoked Thick Cut Bacon.

Had Sunday lunch before our shopping. Such a beautiful place to sit even on a rainy Sunday afternoon. 3 course meal with a glass of wine for £24.95. The meal was delicious...all 3 courses. Highly recommend the chicken parfait for starters, salmon for main & the orange & chocolate mousse finished it off nicely. The highlight for me though was the service we received from the staff and in particular Nella. She was attentive, friendly and entertaining. Great craic! We will definitely be back.

Ive been here twice now and i cant speak highly enough about this place. Its always busy and we had heard good things before going ourselves so we had high expectations. Every single member of staff have been so friendly and accommodating on both visits, quickly finding us tables and making room for my pram and bringing a seat for my toddler. The servers were so lovely to my daughter, got her comfortably seated and brought crayons to keep her occupied Our orders were taken and the good arrived in no time at all. Portion sizes very generous and food was delicious- can recommend any of the breakfasts, really tasty! The meals are very reasonably priced. We have recently moved to the area and we will most definitely be back.

I had a good breakfast here, poached eggs, sausage and with toast and coffee. Unfortunately there were no clean tables. When the waitress was about to set the tray down I asked her to clean the table, well she cleaned most of it, then looked around at at least 5 other tables that needed cleaning, ignored them and went back to the kitchen. I was there for about half an hour and none of the tables were cleaned. I decided to write this because I see that management actually respond to complaints. I will definitely be back and hopefully this will be resolved.Hi Travellingsilent2019My name is Alan and I am the owner of the Causeway Cafe. I am delighted you enjoyed your food at our Cafe, however I am really sorry on this occasion our service hasn't been up to our usual standard.I would like to investigate this further, and would appreciate if you had the time to contact me directly on [email protected], with details of the date and time of your visit to the cafe.I appreciate your time to review our cafe, and provide valuable feedback.RegardsAlan
