KwaZulu-Natal (/kwɑːˌzuːluː nəˈtɑːl/; also referred to as KZN and known as "the garden province") is a province of South Africa that was created in 1994 when the Zulu bantustan of KwaZulu ("Place of the Zulu" in Zulu) and Natal Province were merged. Lacks imagination and attention to detail. Food was bland. Service was friendly but slow. Ladies bathroom taps were broken and could have been fixed easily but manager rather preferred to stand around even though there were hardly any customers. They served us beer in a broken glass. Really sad waste of time.

Having been to this restaurant several times and enjoyed it, I decided to take my wife there for our 43rd wedding anniversary. While the food was good, the service was pretty average. My wife's food looked great and she remarked that it was really good. I had a steak but didn't order a sauce which was a mistake and the meat was very dry. However, the waiter was not that good - he mumbled the specials, disappeared after dropping off our meals and returned long after we finished our meals. My wife ordered a coffee which took forever to arrive, and eventually we told the head waiter to cancel it. They then arrived with a Dom Pedro for me and my wife's coffee - on the house as it was our anniversary. That was a nice touch - but by then I was ticked off. Having been to this restaurant many times before (as stated) I was disappointed as to the falling standard.

This is in the Suncoast Casino development, a is a very popular mall, packed with people every evening. There are multiple restaurants. We didn't like the complex, but it is popular in Durban because it is safe and secure. This branch of the Havana grill is quite large, and busy. We were well looked after by the waitress, who had a wryly amusing manner, and made us smile. I had the venison (Eland) which I always enjoy, my wife had a steak which was fine, but too big for her. Both were well cooked. Wine was good, if a slightly limiting choice. We used Uber to get there and back from our hotel.I would go there again ifI wanted that sort of food. It is a shame about the venue, but I understand the need for safety.

We went to Fiamma grill for an early dinner on Sunday with my family and we had an almost perfect evening the waiter was the best until something happened which left us bitterly disappointed there was a gentleman who was wearing a black jacket shouting at the staff about something with little regard that we were there. The staff looked very scared of him. He is arrogant, bossy and lack of leaderships qualities for a family Friendly rastoraunt like Fiamma grill. On consultation we were told that he is one of the managers. We quickly paid our bill and left.Dear CarolThank you for your patronage and time taken in reviewing our store. I have discussed in detail your review with my team and management about your recent situation, which I am humbly apologetic about. We have to be careful when responding to reviews of this nature due to the seriousness of the situation. We are a family business and lead with a motivational managment style, we are a team and work together on achieving success. You and I both know that at times, raising ones voice and seeking justifiable answers is necessary, thus I am sorry that you had to be in the presence of that experience. Aryn, the manager on duty understands his actions and is working very hard on maintaining control and humility in his approach. This being said, we would appeal to you to reconsider about the nature and star rating of our store as it truly negatively impacts our business in a large way. Thus even the servers and kitchen staff feel the ramifications of a 1 star review, as we are a small town with a lot of competition. I hope you can find it in your heart to understand and accept our apologies, as we all need a chance in life.Fabien Durocher-Yvon Owner - Fiamma Grill

Our first visit was great. All we could ask for, superb, perfectly matured and cooked ribeye steaks (the recommendation of our waiter) and a bottle of well priced Malbec. Service was efficient. We liked it so much we returned the next night. We normally have a rule "never go back". I wish we had stuck to it! The service was appalling. We enjoyed some very tasty biltong and were asked if we were ready for our mains straight away. We said we were, but 30 mins later they hadn’t arrived. When they did, my burger and chips were barely warm, my partners steak bore little comparison with the previous nights. The waitress seemed a little out of her depth, not her fault, perhaps management should take a look at the training and supervision of its staff.Would give this place 5 stars for the first visit, only two for the second.Thank you for your feedback @crellston - consistency is key at Butcher Boys so we are disappointed to hear your 2nd visit was underwhleming. We have fed back to the team - its certainly not what we like to hear but we do appreciate the feedback.
