Based on a tip from our hotel receptionist, we discovered the beach with taverna on the last day of our holiday in Crete. It lies on the main road from Rethymno to Chania, about 15 minutes by car from Rethymno. The beach is amazing, sandy, with good waves, but not so much we could not swim. Sun beds are free if you order drinks, which are delivered by the restaurant that borders directly to the beach. The restaurant is fantastic, offers great meals at fair prices and is run efficiently, despite its large size. The view from the terrace on the sea and the white mountains is breathtaking. Best beach we have visited in Crete!

If you are in Episoki village this is one of the best places to eat. It's a family run restaurant with a good selection of good fresh home-cooked greek food. Over the two days we tried a number of dishes and they were all good. Excellent place - I am sure we will go back at least once before we leave.

We visited this place twice. Good menu, tasty food and helpful staff who are genuinely pleased to see you. Amazing views of the setting sun across the bay at dusk. Thank you.

Beautiful location of Episkopi, with an authentic Cretan Restaurant. We are here a couple of times during our stay. The food was very good and extremely friendly. Would recommend if you want an authentic night out in Crete.
