We were traveling along the Italian autostrada and looking for a place to grab lunch. We pulled off in Sterzing and came across this gem. Sterzing is a cute Sudtirol city and Sternhutte Rosskopf was exactly what we would have expected. It is attached to a small hotel and has a great menu of German and Italian food. The service was quick and courteous, and the food was delicious. I wish we would have had a bit more time to explore the area (2 beautiful old castles)!

We have eaten here 3 times in the last 2 years whilst visiting Vipiteno. The food is great - good choice of local dishes helpful friendly staff make it well worth a visit. Very good value for money inan exclusive resort.

This restaurant looked nice and busy so we deceided to have some lunch and drinks. Prices are ok, it is not expensive restaurant /bar, but table has been dirty. Service was ok.

I have been to Sterzingerhaus for a private party and stayed overnight. The food they have catered for us was superb, the staff was very friendly. Although the rooms are basic, my stay there was very pleasant, it was excellent value for money. Being at 1950 meters, it has amazing views, it is accessible via cable car followed by a mild hike of 15 minutes. When we left on Sunday afternoon, the restaurant was packed with hikers, dishes served to them also looked delicious. I would strongly recommend it, but access can be challenging if you are suffering from fear of heights!

We traveled to this farmhouse restaurant during a snowy afternoon which made the trip that much more scenic. The dumplings were great. The hostess was charming and seated us in a very rustic and charming dining room with a view of the valley. Simply a great experience!

Welcome to our family-run bar / restaurant. We serve you with local and Italian dishes. Furthermore you have a big choose of South Tyrolean beers. We are located in the middle of the main street from our small City Sterzing. We have also a terrace.

Sterzing/Vipiteno turned out to be a very nice alternative to lunch in Brenner. The town itself is nice, with a Tyrolean feel, and very pretty. The restaurant is affiliated with a hotel and somewhat modern but with lots of wood. Service was friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. I had what they called their "favorite" menu item, a 3-pasta dish, with spinach ravioli and 2 dumplings, plus pumpkin soup. All were tasty. The portion sizes are large. They do have an English menu. Prices were very reasonable. The town has a city parking lot nearby so access is easy. We love to visit this hutte always we are skiiing in Ladurns. Cozy place, quiet and lovely, amazing cuisine, very good bier and willy with small baby pear, sunny terace, what more to ask! Looking forward to be there in Easter 2017 again!

Nice place for walking winter and summer. We went for sledging (Rodeln). The food was good quality and good price. Very nice place to have a break.

The rewarding view across parts of the Alps, the friendly service and the typical local food is definitely worth the approximately 3 hours lasting steep hike to the Prantneralm! For the lazy ones or people with problems hiking there is a road from the valley which takes you all the way up to this gem!Thank you very much for your kind review!
