Great food as always but this time I was a little concerned with how un-important my allergy seems to be to them. I told the waitress when I ordered that I was allergic to nuts so this could be passed on to the kitchen however when my starter came out (mezzo board) there was a dip that looked like pesto and pesto oil which commonly contains nuts. The waitress didnât mention anything so I went to find her by the kitchen pass and she asked the chef if I was ok to eat it. The chef told me I âcould eat everything on the platter except the pestoâ! So why was it even on the plate!? Luckily the pesto actually only contained pine nuts which are not actually nuts so I was ok to eat the food otherwise it would have all been sent back. Also lucky I didnât just dig in and actually went to question them about what they had served. Chefs really need to learn more about allergies, that dish could well have killed me.So sorry to hear about your experience with us ,we do take all allergys very serious and I will look into this matter and make sure this never happens again.

Williams is a modern pub restaurant serving fine quality food and drink in the heart of Sowerby Bridge. Having an extensive range of fine wines and carefully selected traditional hand pulled ales, it is a great place to meet with friends and enjoy a drink
Visited the pub on several occasions but tried the new Thai menu exceptional. The combination of a good atmosphere and the great skill of the Chiefs you are a guaranteed a good experience. The menu is not vast but offers a good selection of tasty food. The staff are helpful attentive and went out of their way to make sure we had a good night

The Fleece Countryside Inn The Fleece Countryside Inn is an award-winning Pub, Restaurant, Wedding Venue & Function Venue. Situated in the beautiful Ryburn Valley in Calderdale, The Fleece overlooks the village of Ripponden as well as across the Calder Va
Our first time and wonât be our last. Welcomed by a waitress as we walked in the door whilst she was en route with meals to a table telling us where to sit and she would be with us shortly. My husband had the daily menu option, which is excellent value for what you get, and I chose off the main menu. Food and presentation was lovely and served in a timely manner. We could only manage 2 courses, as we were both full, but the desserts we saw being served looked fantastic. Everything about the place was very nice including the toilets. All the staff we encountered were attentive and friendly. Although we couldnât take advantage of it, we Loved the outside terrace and the amazing views. One point to note if using a sat nav to get there. Do not use the short or eco routes if you value your car! If coming from the direction of Sowerby bridge or Rochdale, go through Triangle on the main road. Hope to be back soon.

Have just eaten here for my partners birthday, everything was great, we had cheeseburger and steak pie and 2 fab puddings. It was all so tasty and lovely presentation, you can tell the chefs take real pride in their food. Definitely recommend, and the snug for private parties looks fab.

The Alma Inn is a traditional countryside pub with guest rooms, set in an idyllic rural location in the hamlet of Cottonstones, near Sowerby Bridge, Halifax. Offering a warm Yorkshire welcome to visitors for around 150 years, The Alma Inn has earned a rep
Ate at the Alma several times in the last few months the last being when seven of us had dinner on a Monday night. We had starters of pate, garlic mushrooms and prawns. Everyone enjoyed their starter. Main courses of half a chicken, was exactly that and was cooked to perfection and the pork belly the same. I can also recommend the lamb which I have had on previous visits. Dinner nicely washed down with a couple of bottles of Riesling there was no room for sweet. A special mention must go to the young lad who looks after the restaurant, he really appears to like his job. One of my pet hates is wine glasses that are not sparklingly clean no such problem here as they pass with flying colours. Unusual for a pub restaurant. I would certainly recommend the Alma and the fact it is on my doorstep is a bonus.
