We ate here tonight for a friends birthday The Prawn piri piri was good , sea bass great and fish and chips fab BUT ETTON MESS - yes right spelling was amazing We are thrilled you all enjoyed you meals and the evening which made your friends birthday a delight. Excellent lay out. Tables well spread out. Peaceful environment. A sincere welcome and fast bar service. Waitress very obliging. Not rushed for ordering but timely. We had mains and desserts. The food was delivered quickly, was beautifully presented and excellent portion. The fish and chips were delicious. Dessert choices were lovely. A great experience. Highly recommended.

Paper mills was recommended to us by some local folk n the village of Elton - our dinner last night was wonderful - good, fresh produce, cooked, prepared & presented nicely. We would highly recommend The Paper mills Restarant - Service good and staff friendly. The manager Marcus was very helpful & friendly too! Itâs good to talk to others when you are out & about you get to find about local hidden treasures.

Well where to start! Firstly the parking is shocking itâs a kind of free for all in the âcar parkâ with cars being blocked in by others . In the end we had to park down the road on the grass verge which really isnât safe.We had booked a table but upon arriving there was a queue nearly outside the door of people waiting to be seated... having talked to another couple they said they had been waiting awhile to be seated too and they also had booked Finally we got taken to our table only for a member of staff to come and clean the table whilst we were sat there. The place itself resembled some kind of works canteen ...if thatâs what you like well thatâs fine, but itâs very outdated. Also it was so loud in there and the music blaring out really didnât help. I cannot leave a review for the food or the drinks for that matter as service was so terrible we left ! We had ordered drinks and sat there for over half an hour waiting! To be fair the waitress I complained to was very apologetic and very nice but Still after being told we were still sat there waiting ! As we left I told a member of staff at the bar why we were going and she didnât seem interested and shrugged her shoulders with no apology at all. We certainly will not be back. As we were leaving the people on the table next to us told us they had to wait an hour and a half to be served which is totally unacceptable. If you cannot cope due to staffing levels then do not take so many bookings, simple!Good morning mollymooz.We are incredibly sorry that you felt so let down.Due to staff illness we had three members of staff off we can assure you the service is normally 5*.as you can imagine Sundays is a very busy day for us so it effected us massively with only finding out at 10 am that morning that three of my staff members would not be attending work.I can assure you this kind of service will never happen again so i really hope we might see you again in the future.kind regards jon
