Went for a Sunday Lunch - as soon as we walked through the door we were disappointed. The bar was cluttered with old newspapers and somebody's dirty woolly hat. The service wasn't very friendly, felt as if they were wondering why we had come. Sent into dining ro find our own table, which wasn't difficult as we were the only ones there - very worried now!!. Ordered our meal - starter and main course. All our questions were now answered, it was terrible, veg overcooked, meat roast very fatty and watery gravy. This place needs to really to buck their ideas up. Would never go back. One other couple arrived while we were there. Obviously this place is known by the locals who avoid it like the plague.

The Masons has gone from strength to strength, they show most major sporting events and host live music, the team also offer the added touch where possible, such as much needed half time refreshments.This pub really steps up the level in Denbigh. The only down side would be the time it can take to get severed, (which is most likely a problem for all good pubs), and more seating would be beneficial for busier events.The Masons is constantly improving and the effort that is put in really shows. I'd recommend putting a TV in the beer garden in time for the Euros!

Came on 2 occasions, first time with a friend, I had the Rissoto which was lovely, service good. I came back today. I had a black pudding starter, excellent and the other person Calamari, both excellent. For my mains I had Chicken Ceasar salad, no complaints, the other person had Seafood Linguine, covered in tomato, that was sent back as flavours were fighting each other and asked for same with sauce, result was a stunning fish. Staff excellent, offered us refund on food which we declined as second attempt was a great plate of food. All in all very enjoyable.
