This place was a real find. It's a bit out of the center of Kaltern, but it is well worth the short walk uphill. The service was attentive and the food was comfort and delicious. We were particularly impressed by the unusual and yummy Krautsalat. Although we didn't get to sit outside (because it was already filled up) there is a really nice outdoor seating area. But, the inside is cozy and welcoming as well. Another high point of the meal was the pfefferlingen Knoedel with butter and parmesan cheese. This place was delicious food at a great value and I would definitely recommend it.

What an amazing restaurant placed in between the mountains and beautiful nature! The restaurant have much charm and sweet hospitable staff with super good service and not expensive at all compared to many other places in EU. We started with an appetizer, Piatto dell L'Imperatore, a mix of seafood We both love seafood and we have tasted seafood many places in Italy but Ristorante L'Imperatore has a very special love they prepare their food with. As told earlier, we love fish, so we chose fish once again for our main course. Pesce Al Sale A small fish which are covered with salt and is prepared in a special way. Because it was the first time we tasted this fish, the staff was very helpful to open it and remove the bones for us. Not to mention the dessert we had, what an amazing evening My fiancé and I had. We will differently come again! Thank you

Das Gasthaus Christl im Loch ist ein historisches Lokal am beliebten Fahrradweg von Eppan nach Kaltern, umgeben von Weinbergen und Obstwiesen, weg von der HauptstraÃe und vom Lärm. Die Kartenauswahl basiert auf kalten Gerichten, Salaten und Jausentellern.Die Jausestation schlieÃt jeweils um 19 Uhr.Man kann mit dem Auto von der WeinstraÃe abbiegen und bis zum Gasthof fahren. Eigener Parkplatz, der etwas steil zum Eingang der Jausestation ist. Für Menschen mit Gehschwierigkeiten empfielt es sich oben neben der Terrasse zu parken.
