First time dining at The Edge. I was there for a private dinner arranged for 50 diners. Aleenta Resort, within which the restaurant is located, is stunning. The restaurant itself is comfortable, practical, simple but functional. But I guess one dines at The Edge for the food, rather than the decor and surroundings.And there's where the experience really begins. Chef De Cuisine Alex Bitterling and his team put forward the most impressively prepared and presented food I have eaten in the past year and a half of living on Phuket. Truly wonderful.I forget the specific names of the dishes that were served, but here (more crudely described than the masterpieces deserve) are descriptions of a few of the highlights. Strips of beef that were part tartar and part rare, simply melted in the mouth. A squid dish that I can honeslty say was the best squid I've ever eaten. No chewiness, just perfect seafood that also melted in the mouth. A fish course that was so beautifully presented it looked too good to eat - however I'm glad I did. The flavours were outstanding and the innovative approach to some of the accompanying tastes and textures on the plate was amazing.All in all, a dining experience par excellence. Well done to Alex and his team. The table service was almost as good as the food. Certainly as good as I've experienced in any restaurant in and around Phuket.The Edge is well worth the 45 minute drive from the centre of Phuket. I look forward to my next visit with anticipation.

Great restaurant with excellent seafood options, we had a local lobster and a freshly caught snapper. Presentation of the dishes was also outstanding and with a large selection of top wines available, makes this a restaurant not to be missed during your visit to Phuket. Price/Quality ratio is good.

The picture does not really describes how beautiful this bar is at sunset. We visited this bar every night & it still was special on every single occasion.Besides the ambience the cocktails are top class with a large selection & mixed by a professional mixoligist.Just as good a visit at dark is also impressive with the right lighting & a tree that is lit up that looks like it was out of Avitar.A great place for a romantic drink or for a group who likes to chill out with great live music (mood) & exceptional cocktails. We kept going back because it is so good.

Sorry to admit, but the food was dreary and just so salty that after leaving i wanted to immediately to wash my teeth. Also they add service tax to the bill, but the service was not satisfying. The waiter did not informed us about the meal what was ended in the kitchen and they tried to fool us with the "same same but different" food. Only positive things to say is about nice interior and special vegetarian menu. But Thailand! You have better food than this.

We have been staying in Anantara Layan for 8 days. On the first night we ate at Dee Plee and it was absolutely excellent.The location is overwhelming with a beautiful view of the beach, the staff is extraordinary professionel, kind and courteous.They explained every dish they had and even gave every guest an origional thai starter for free.We never ate such an authentic thai food in such a beautiful Atmosphere.It is worth the price.We can highly recommend this place!Dear Leckermaulchen,Thank you so much for your great review. Just a stroll from our hotel (BS Airport Hotel) we stumbled across this place after having a massage near the Luna Hostel. The food and beverages are superb and very well priced. Freshly made spinach soup and mushroom soup superb as were the refreshing smoothies and other dishes we tried. Highly recommended
