This quirky restaurant has little rooms tucked away down different stairways. Every inch is covered in Balinese carvings, and other non-Balkan art pieces. The menu diverges from the usual meat dishes. If youâre vegetarian, please let them know, as they tend to add prosciutto to the salads and goat cheese (which were both excellent by the way).

First, the most thing is our beautiful waitress is very very kind and sweet. The spaghetti carbonara is full of tasty cheese. The steak is good, but the grilled vegetables are even better!! Soup is warm. Good choice for winter. And I mis ordered my dessert. Itâs a little bit too sweet for me. Fabulous restaurant for foreigners to try the local as well. Love it. Me and my wife were on holiday in Belgrade. We visited the restaurant for dinner on May 17. The staff was very polite. The food was very tasty. The interior is interesting and the restaurant is cosy. We entered the restaurant on a cold and rainy Belgrade night, unsure of what to expect and were immediately made to feel comfortable by our server (Iâm sorry I donât remember his name) who had that mystical ability to be invisible and yet be present the moment you thought of him. If youâre unfamiliar with Serbian food - choose the incredibly well priced Sampler Menu (26 Euro) which means you get to eat every dish on the menu. Wow!! We couldnât even get through half of it and every single dish was amazing. Fresh ingredients made for a delightful symphony of flavors, delivered with panache and a friendly familiarity that only Serbians are able to pull off.This is a must-visit for anyone going to Belgrade.Dear ManavFernandez,It was wonderful having you on such a gloomy day at Ambar! Hi! I hope my review will be seen by the owners of this place. Iâm really in love with the place and the food you guys serve. I love the breakfast offer, i love the vibe and the design... So with all this emotions I brought my friends to the place as one of the nicest to finish the trip to Beograde. And then almost everything went wrong. 4 people, one with really strong feelings against onion. The waiter was showing all the attitude on the subject, not even trying to find the solution in the onion loving country. Finally we ordered components of the main meal to create a non-onion dinner option for my friend, but in the end we got only half of the combination - polenta. And the waiter brought it saying: Your polenta. With no onion. And then i came to check and realized that the sausages part wasnât even taken to the order. And after that +25 min to get the sausages. We packed them and left the place... And one more time: i know that the place is great. Usually the attitude to me - when everything goes smooth - is also great. But with all the attitude i got tonight - I donât want to be back.

We came here for an early dinner and were lucky to have the whole beautiful garden to ourselves. The menu was more interesting than a lot of restaurants in the area and food was delicious! They also had a selection of craft beers. Highly recommended
