The food was incredible and beautifully presented, however, a starter-main-dessert combo left us feeling hungry. In hindsight we should have gone for the tasting menu (5 or 7 courses) rather than a la cà rte. Italian wine was great. But we went home and had to make ourselves sandwiches to fill up

The Buckland manor provides real fine dining experience in a delightful old Manor. Much used by the wealthy locals the Manor has its menu well tunes to a discerning but not pretentious clientele. Whatâs more, for this quality of food and environment, it is good value. It is a gift; a real treat.

We were warmly welcomed. The waiting staff were attentive without being intrusive.The set menu provided a varied selection of beautifully presented dishes. The quality of the food was exceptional. The unexpected amuse-bouche and pre-dessert were delightful and delicious, and helped to make the meal even more of a memorable event.

Went on the recommendation of a local as I was from out of town. Dinner did NOT disappoint!! Food was outstanding (Iâm still dreaming about my scallop appetizer)! The rest of my party also throughly enjoyed their meals. Wine selection was good, and the wines we had were fabulous. Canât recommend this place enough. Donât know when Iâll be back in town, but Iâll be stopping by LâArtisan when I do.

We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed excellent service throughout the evening. Amuse bouches were a wonderful touch with such fantastic authentic tastes as pani puri. The vegan menu was extensive and contained lots of interesting dishes. All dishes were prepared to perfection and visits from the chef to ensure we were happy was such a nice offer. Definitely somewhere unique and special to enjoy an evening with friends.

I recently came here with my wife for her birthday. It was fantastic!! A lovely, cosy restaurant with friendly staff. The food was incredible. Genuinely the best cooked meal out I have had in as long as I can remember! Iâll certainly come back again!

I have stayed at The Lion now on 4 occasions and have never been let down. This is a lovely hotel with great staff that has a fantastic atmosphere and are very customer focussed. They have lovely rooms that are beautifully appointed and I have stayed in many of them now.

The restaurant is lovely and the staff were very friendly but our evening was spoiled by loudly barking dogs which are allowed in the restaurant?! I wonât be returning in case this is repeated. The monkfish was delicious as was the lemon cheesecake.

Birthday and anniversary meal for husband. My husband wanted to go somewhere where the food was tasty and he was not disappointed Fantastic food beautifully presented (Thank you Chef Gus). We had the 3 course meal, but with the added Little extras it became 6 courses. Superb maître d'Kate. Not rushed and very attentive. Just Outstanding!
