Hostaria del Pozzo is a very cozy place with a beautiful location in Canobbio overviewing Lugano city and lake.A family (Cristian and Lena) runs this restaurant carefully and with friendly atmosphere. The food is very fresh, meat, fish and also some typical dishes from Valtellina like Pizzoccheri, Zigoiner and Sciatt! The wine list is interesting and prices are correct.Nice also for families and friends. In summer you can enjoy the terrace.Recommended!

My family and I had dinner at Ristoro Del Pellegrino. It is situated on a hillside overlooking Lake Lugano. The building is not the prettiest but the views from the balcony are spectacular. The service was friendly, the wine (Inferno, I think) was very good and the food was simple but tasty.Recommended.

First, this restaurant is needlessly pretentious. Second, the two other guests at my table ordered the tasting menu. I did not like all the options on the tasting menu, so I told the waiter, that I would order the same amount of courses and if he could please pair wine as well. He agreed. That is not what happened. While I was the only female at the table, I was given one glass of wine and treated with an air of snotty contempt. The food was just ho hum. It was not creative. It was mathematical in its presentation. Safe but what you can get at a multitude of other restaurants. I will say that the view is wonderful. But for almost $700 for 3 people, save your money. It is totally not worth it. we visited the restaurant on several occasions while we stayed on the resort. everything about the experience is excellent, from the maitre de, Roberto, with his magc tricks for the kids, to the amazing waiters. they have a fixed price 3 or 4 course menu, which i would recommend better value than choosing piecemeal from the menu. we chose the 4 course menu. Its was very good silver service indeed. the wines were also reasonable priced and good quality. Evening meals here are an event and be prepared to take your time. make sure you eat in the conservatory area, the other area seems to have the younger families in more of a hurry. they do offer a buffet selection, which suited our kids very well.Dear Gilesford, Thank you for reviewing your recent dining experience at Ristorante & Bistro San Marco at Parco San Marco Lifestyle Beach Resort. Fresh baked Croissants for breakfast was my favourite meal. Boil your own Eggs in their unique egg cooker (don't mix them up!). The Dinner meal was delivered with meals of a very high standard. Lunch time patrons flocked to eat on the Patio or Restaurant. The Garden looked amazing when set up for the Lunch time visitors.

We took the walk along the lake to Gandria and came upon this little cafe by the lake that was the only one open on Boxing Day. To our delight we were warmly received and had a very pleasant lunch. The food was simple but well cooked and reasonably priced.

We came to celebrate a friend's birthday and ordered the 'terroir' tasting menu featuring moist sweetbreads, a lemon/bay leaf risotto, fork-tender venison and flaky prune tart. As one would expect from a 1-star Michelin establishment, this menu was accompanied by a parade of spectacular 'entre-mets' to delight and cleanse the palate. The atmosphere is relaxed with a spectacular fireplace and the service is friendly and efficient. A memorable evening brought to us by the talented, young chef Edoardo Fumagalli. May 9I knew this resto would be a highlight. Our only Swiss lunch at a tiny locanda owned by Davide Crobe, originally from Sardinia, who has personally made his mark in a village overshadowed by Lugano. He stopped by to greet us.As we were the first diners, we could have any table including the few on the terrazza overlooking Lake Lugano, but rain threatened. The fresh persico fillets were outstanding while my wife had the ravioli. The food was delicious but the price was dear at 64E, but this locale seemed exceptional.

We reserved a table based on reviews we had read and were not disappointed! The proprietor was very helpful with helping us understand the menu which was written in Italian. The menu options were relatively limited but there was something to please everyone's palate. Two of our group chose from some Summer changes to the menu and were pleased with their meals. I chose the nettle ravioli which was the perfect choice for a light lunch on a hot day!

We tried to find a nice spot in the city for lunch but left 2 other establishments because of no service. Came across Vitti and immediately liked the ambience. The lady serving us was extremely friendly and very helpful to assist in compiling a vegan friendly lunch menu.
