Couple 2 nights, spent August Bank Holiday 2019. Room spotless, bed comfy with great shower. Breakfast & dinner very good food (recommend mushrooms on toast for breakfast); local produce such as apple juice. I have enjoyed several pleasant afternoon teas at Buxted Park over the years, sadly today's experience was not one of them. The rowdy wedding party made it less than relaxing. Tea was served in a very tired looking side room. Serviettes were dirty. Sandwiches were dry and there was a distinct lack of staff presence presumably because of the wedding. When the staff did appear they were very helpful. All in all not a good experience and I will not be rushing to go back.

The Griffin Inn is the only place to eat in Fletching for two reasons- it is the only place and for every aspect of dining it is the best. The service is exemplary the meals are ... well we stayed two days and are still undecided which meal to choose, the whole menu is terrific. Our accommodation is extremely comfortable and the gardens, surrounding area just beautiful. Highly recommended for a romantic visit or business retreat, anything actually.

We stayed for 2 nights on a pre-booked meal deal, it was a smaller menu because of the reduced price but this should still mean good food. What we got on the first night was rubbish, I mean real rubbish that no chef in there right mind would ever send out at any cost. The starter of cheese and potato croquettes where over cooked in the fryer so much that the outside was burnt and there was nothing left inside at all. then half a roast chicken that had been in the microwave so much it was like cardboard. The second night must of been a different chef, the presentation was better and the food at least not over cooked. but our expectation now was so low that anything could have been better. If there have a chef that does not check and does not care then the customers will not care to come back SIMPLE Service was hit and miss two staff really good and the other need training
