Tapas Bar and restaurant serving fresh Mediterranean dishes, tapas and Paella. Wines and beers from around the world, cocktails, coffee and tea.
I like The Pottery, I have eaten here many times and it used to be very much at the top of my local food places. I do feel, however, that some standards have slipped a little lately. We started with olives which were excellent and had tapas to follow. Most of the tapas were either very good or definitely good. However, the bread was a total joke. It was one of those small frozen white baguettes you can buy from any supermarket for 35p or so. It was also so crispy on the outside that after eating a few pieces my roof of the mouth was scratched. Why would you let a pretty good meal down by something as fundamental as bread? I just don't get it. Furthermore, the wine list is not to my taste and I believe Spain (or indeed Spanish speaking countries) produce much better wines than these. Otherwise, everything was lovely. I'd love them to address these issues and make it a top-notch place once again.Hello there,Thank you for your review. I am are very happy you enjoyed our Tapas and the olives which we take great pride. The bread should not be the white baguette as you are describing but a lovely freshly baked multigrain baguette served with virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar and a delicious butter and sea salt. I am very sorry about this and will make sure everyone reads your review and don't ever do such mistake again so next time you visit you can have a taste of proper delicious bread.I appreciate your comments about the wine list and promise we'll look into it.We put a lot of effort on everything we do at The Pottery and take your views seriously so once more thank you for letting us know.Kind regardsLucia

Stein´s has had it good moments with quite stereotypical but fun German food and drinks. The service even when terse and abrupt had its charming moments. This evening was a very different encounter. The unsmiling waitress asked us grumpily if we had a reservation and when told we had not, proceeded to march us to the outside area muttering, "you will have to share". When we said we preferred to sit inside she threw down the menus on one of the long empty benches and marched off. We waited patiently as waiter after waiter walked by ignoring any attempts at eye contact hoping to get a few cold drinks, while being assailed by music plainly too loud for the setting. When it become clear that we would not get any semblance of normal service we left and waited for our Uber outside. In the time we waited outside, our supposed service found the time to stand outside firing off a few texts whilst vaping and enjoying a long break from serving a practically empty restaurant. We have not had such an unwelcoming and unfriendly experience for a while.

Masaniello new branch in Surbiton Indipendente Italian owner restauran, you can pop in for a coffe or a meal and enjoy a friendly and relaxed athmosphere, A place where the food is cooked following the Italian tradition
The food here is brilliant. Would highly recommend the Parrmigiana and Forza Napoli pizza both were extremely tasty. We arrived without a booking on a Saturday and they were able to accommodate us downstairs which was quieter than the main restaurant but not secluded. Perfect for an impromptu date night. The main restaurant is buzzing and has a great atmosphere. This place has truly deserved itâs five stars!

Langleys has perfected the formula for a successful restaurant: nice decor, very good service, happy-looking staff, fair prices and a short-ish menu where every dish has been carefully thought out and well cooked. We had the antipasto, which was very high quality and substantial; the sea bream (ditto) and the seafood linguine (my husband said the sauce was overpowering and didn't like the sundried tomatoes, but I disagreed). All the food we saw going past looked delicious and we heard happy comments from other diners. It's nice to have this style of restaurant in the local area.

We started out in Kingston in 2001 and opened our Walton restaurant in June 2014. Our owner, executive chef, and many of our staff are Turkish and they have proudly drawn on their heritage to create a little corner of Turkey in the UK. Our food is cooked
We had lunch at this restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The portions are decent, the food is aromatic and tasty and the presentation is very attractive. The service was attentive and efficient. The best Turkish meal we've had for a very long time

This is a newish venture which certainly deserves to succeed: charming service, impressive food (lamb, pork, padron peppers, croquetas, octopus all really good in tapas form), good wine list, very reasonably priced. We had a very enjoyable dinner and we would definitely return. A fine addition to the local dining scene.

Went on a busy Friday early evening....positives would be very smart, buzzy and the staff were friendly. However, the food was extremely disappointing...pure style over substance and some very strange combinations that simply did not work. My beetroot starter was an odd mixture of beetroot cubes, no green leaves, a couple of different cheeses, a walnut...all served dry...did not work. The main guinea fowl tasted like cheap rubbery chicken and had been dried out under a hot lamp for too long (broccoli thermo-nuclear). Basically everything looks great, but the actual quality (on a very limited small menu) is very poor. Will not be returning
