My husband and i went to this restaurant last night for a lovely meal. We sat on the sofa in the bar area with a drink, with nuts and olives given to us while we waited for our table. We placed our dinner order while we waited.We were then shown to our table, where we had a lovely view of the garden.They had in the restaurant The Rotary Club, who we could hear telling jokes which amused us while we ate dessert.Had a lovely time. Went to this pub on Saturday evening 1st July with some friends and the food was brilliant and pub wasn't bad either with friendly staff and locals My wife had the fish pie on the specials board, I had the steak & kidney pie and our friends had the lamb shank from the main menu.My wife said it was the best fish pie she's ever had, and as far I can remember the only pie that was better than this was my mums.Please enjoy AndyPleased you all enjoyed it. Says it all really... Good food, lovely cocktails, but I thought the wine by the glass is expensive. A large (250ml) glass of Montepulciano is £9. Ok, other slightly cheaper wines are available, but £9 is a lot (in my opinion. Other opinions are available).Our meal was £30... add 2 glasses of wine and youâre getting on for £50! We skipped the wine and waited till we got home. Why not have a âcheapâ house wine? We really like The Grosvenor. Itâs busy, but has space and itâs all âniceâ. Even the light shades in the bar and the hand wash in the loos are nice.
