Came with an old friend who lives in Shipton Gorge. The staff are well trained, knowledgeable and friendly. The supper menu offered an eclectic choice of dishes which were beautifully cooked. The Dover Sole and Beef Ragu deserve special mention. Their bread is baked daily in the kitchen. A very good wine list. All in all a memorable dinner.

Celandines

This restaurant should feature in the Good Food Guide as a 'Little Gem'. This would be a really good stop off en route up or down the A303 if you have time; I note they do breakfasts, lunches and dinner. We were there for dinner and really enjoyed a 3 course meal for 2 of us - some interesting and tasty things to choose on the menu, particularly tasty were the croquettes, asparagus and swordfish. Leave room for cheesecake - delicious!

I rarely give five stars but, based on our experience on Monday, Bath House deserves it.Lovely staff, great service and good food - one of the best Beef Rendangs I've had in years and my mussels to start were also good. The MemSahib had very good scallops and a lovely chicken breast in a wild mushroom cream sauce. Okay wine list. So far a good four star experience - but anyone who chases after me half way down the street to return my phone (duh!) deserves an extra star IMHO.
