Maybe we expected too much due to all the great reviews but unfortunately the Larder couldnât live up to our expectations. The restaurant looks nice and the staff is very friendly. We really liked the tuna taco and the coquille was just WOW! The fish âcookieâ had a good taste but all the ingredients of the dish were soft, making the dish a bit ragoutâish. The steak was well cooked but missed a bit of flavor. The linguini with shrimp hardly had any shrimp in it and was way too creamy. The Caesar salad was a bit bland.. Nobody at the table liked the lamb ribs however the hamburger was appreciated by all. Not all wines on the wine list were available (50%?). All and all, nice restaurant with a few very good dishes and nice staff but a bit overrated if you ask us, especially for the price you need to pay.

I live in Samui and was recently invited to attend an exclusive vegan food and organic wine evening. I didn't have any real expectations of a gourmet meal (not being a vegan myself) but I have to say it was fantastic! I was blown away by the creativity, variety and taste!Chef Nick and his team had gone all out to create a menu that could be served in any top restaurant in the world. And it was served in their signature restaurant, The Tent, located on a soft white sand beach in Chaweng North.As the world becomes more interested in vegan food, I can honestly say that nobody should be afraid of trying it when prepared by an expert.Thanks Nick and all at Sala Chaweng for a memorable evening!Dear HongKongFanThank you for joining us at our recent plant based dining wine dinner in aid of the Amazon rainforest. One of the best restaurant I have ever visited not only comparing to Thailand!The food is special , surprising, modern style and presented beautifully.Service is amazing too, they recommend and explain very good. Best snapper fish I had ever, amazing chicken cake and the lamb was simply exiting!Not cheap but for this standard you would pay triple in Europe.Highly recommend it and defiantly will come back!
