What a gem in already sweet Ashburton. Great veggie plus vegan menu which is very original and engaging. Lovely atmosphere with the long tables, help - yourself - water with books available if you have the time. Terrific-ly tasty freshly made to order food. Can't get better. There is hot competition in the town but this is an ace choice. Even the loo is charming and fun, if you see what I mean.

We visited for the first time a week ago and were enthralled by the small, intimate cornucopia of our surroundings. Bianca and Massimo took the time to explain the menu for the evening, using fresh, organic ingredients. Pop in lovley pizza cafe as usual at evening and asked for a table the lady who i seen for the first time there with red short hair come to me and i asked for a table as always she shows the middle table with not any smile even as i look for some corner i asked if there is any chance to get another table and she says NO in a very rude way which's shows how rasism she was, i just turned my way and will never go back while she is working there!Thank you for taking the time to write us a review.I am really sorry to hear that you were disappointed by the service you received on this visit. It is my understanding that on this occasion, the larger tables were reserved. I am very sorry that this wasn't explained to you and that you felt you were treated rudely. I had a delicious meal here last night with friends. We started with cocktail which was nice- but the cocktails were not the best thing to be honest. Beautiful bread and flavoured butter as well delicious amuse bouche bites. We all loved the food, the portions are not large but I appreciated that and was certainly not hungry at the end of our meal. Perfect macaroons were brought out at the end of the meal.I would definitely recommend

Coming into Lustleigh is a nightmare from the wrong direction. Satnav accuracy is dubious.In The Cleave we had a warm welcome, I assume from the owner/landlord and his wife.Varied menu and decent quality. Prices very reasonable and good wine and beers.Would definitely recommend making the effort.
