Dao Xiang (Tao Heung) Restaurant is located on the top floor of the brand new Xingzhong Plaza on the banks on Shiqi River, across from Fuhua Hotel and right at the door steps of the historic Pedestrian Shopping Street (Sun Wen Road West). This is one of the latest addition to the publicly traded HK chain with restaurants in many cities in China. This particular location is upscale, spacious, well appointed, and serves dim sum in the morning, dinners and banquets at night. My most recent visit was with friends for dim sum after a pleasant walk on the nicely appointed river banks. Restaurant was buzzing albeit on a Monday. Service was adequate given the crowd, tea was weak, and dim sum while proper in appearance, were not up to HK Tao Heung standards. I had been here for dinner a couple of times. For visitors to Zhongshan Shiqi, I highly recommend this place for dinner,. As to dim sum, my top choice would be Harbor City on Zhongshan Road Section 5.

At this restaurant you can choose the sea food you want to eat from aquariums. Paid by weight. Its cooked and ready in 15 min.The ritual of having tea before, during and after food makes the experience memorable.The Chinese add spice to their food and along with the sauces they provide the food served is delicious.If u are not with the locals its a bit hard to select and ask for how it's to be prepared.

The variety is the usual local and international selections. Had asked for a takeaway coffee but they didn't provide a sleeve for the coffee but the lady was nice enough to put into an empty cup to shield the heat.

I love this place to bits! The only down side of it is that this place is filled with hundreds of people. But it's understandable cos this place is just massive! Maybe this is what make this restaurant the in place to eat at. carpark is filled with high end luxury cars which straight away you will know that this place is where all the rich of the rich have their yum cha. Multilevel building with hundreds of seats. Also have the best private dinning rooms. This place I always eat with my friends and clients from all over the world. Everyone always end up craving for this place after they leave. Amazing varieties of yum cha dishes arrive on your table steaming hot and very very well presented! You have not had real yum cha until you have tried this yum cha heaven! I love my own individual pot of tea brewing on the table right next to me while i enjoy my dim sum! For those on budget, Take note on their prices, it's on the higher end compare to other yum cha places you would find in Zhongshan.

Believe me guys these guys literally forced me review them...This is my first review ever on tripadvisor. Been visiting China every month from last 10 years....I don't want to seem exaggerating but this is the supreme fusion of Indian, Italian , Western & Asia I have come across everThey use finest and fresh ingredients. This place serves traditionalZhongshan food, most dishes were great, except their famous roasted pigeon, we had some better ones else where. This place is very crowded, so advance booking is advised, otherwise go at a later time (7:30pm or after)
