Yantai, formerly known as Zhifu or Chefoo, is a prefecture-level city on the Bohai Strait in northeastern Shandong Province, China. Lying on the southern coast of the Korea Bay, Yantai borders Qingdao on the southwest and Weihai on the east. It is the largest fishing seaport in Shandong. Its population was 6,968,202 during the 2010 census, of whom 2,227,733 lived in the built-up area made up of the 4 urban districts of Zhifu, Muping, Fushan, and Laishan.

We have been here several times, sometimes two of us, sometimes as many as 8 eight people. The menu has a good variety, some spicy, some not so much. All good Chinese food. There are 2 private dining rooms that can be reserved for larger groups (6+). It is on the 8th floor of a recently renovated shopping complex, which requires either dreadfully slow elevators or many escalators. Fortunately the escalators in this Zhen Hua are set up intelligently!!

My father is from Yantai Shandon. This place reminds him of his childhood. I guess that this is a very authentic local restaurant. This restaurant has 5 locations in Yantai. I visited the Erma road store.We ordered seafood and dumpling for dinner. Like many other local restaurants in town. Seafood is all good and cost effective (in other words, cheap). However, I would not say that their seafood is the best. Their dumpling, oh my, is the best. I strongly recommend the Donkey meat dumpling and the Ba-fish dumpling. The donkey meat dumpling is tasty and the fish dumpling is very special. The general dining area is crowded. People do smoke in the general dining area. If you want to have a cleaner air, do request a private room. People in this restaurant is kind and honest. I left my Canon DSR camera after my meal and went back the next day. They kindly kept my camera and returned it to me. What a nice gesture for a outsider.

He Restaurant has Japanese cuisine, including Sushi, Teppanyaki dishes, Chinese dishes and seasonal fresh fish. Our favorite is the Salmon Sashimi. It is very clean and the service is great. Holidays are busy and you will need a reservation as seating is limited. They also offer private dining rooms for special occasions or business meetings.

The food is very good and boasts many local dishes, especially seafood. The portions are gigantic, so be careful not to order too many, otherwise you'll end up wasting a lot. They have private rooms if you like to have your own space.
