An old Czech Restaurant, the walls of the old house are mud brick, hence the name which means that, literally. Set by a lake you can sit in or outside. The service is excellent, the food outstanding so don't expect (or ask for!) chips with everything. A good wine list, many Czech speciality dishes, ideal for a business lunch of you want to impress or an evening to be romantic. If you are going with a party, plan ahead because the house speciality is to BBQ your choice of meats or cook over wood, sheep, beef baron, duck, pig or whatever, bought by the kilo weight and cooked to perfection. Good for parties of 20 or so, or just yourself, it makes no difference....I recommend the steak, medium rare means just that.....

The chef Mr. Jaroslav Sapik is famous in the Czech Republic for his traditional Czech food. The restaurant and atmosphere is certainly very traditional. However, the food although certainly Czech has a modern twist to it and it is exactly that which appealed to me most of all. In all I ate 6 courses there and every single one was excellent in presentation, cooking and style. To pick out just three the starter of home made goose liver pate with a cranberry jelly was full of flavour, the texture was perfect and the balance could not have been done better. The fresh crayfish soup was delightful. in presentation and in flavour. The roasted beef was falling apart tender while the asparagus still had bite and the lemon thyme sauce was perfect. I cannot take anything away from the food it was just fantastic. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to experience classic Czech food at its best. There are few places that can rival this one in Prague.

Snad jeste nikdy jsem nezazila tolik kiksu a problemu v ramci jedne navstevy. Po prichodu do poloplne restaurace si nas servirka asi pul hodiny nevsimla, byt jsme na ni stridave koukali a byli se jednou pripomenout. Na dotaz jake maji vino mi rekla, ze nevi, ze vino nepije a ukazala prstem na tri flasky, ktere resturace nabizi v napojovem listku (musim ale uznat, ze dibra vina). Fajn, neni to vinarna, chapu. Pak jsme si vybrali jidlo, a zeptala jsem se, zda veprova panenka je s prilohou nebo si ji mam doobjednat. Rekla, ze ano, ze jsou k tomu nejake fazolky. Nacez mi pak donesli hole maso bez prilohy, ze se pry spletla, ze je to bez prilohy. U dojedenych taliru jsme sedeli snad pres tricet minut a kdyz uz se nam z nich delalo soufl, odnesli jsme je k vedlejsimu stolu, kde zustaly az do konce. Sedeli jsme pres 2 hodinu kvuli hokeji kamarada, na ktery jsme se z restaurace divali, a za tu dobu s tou jejich rychlosti kamarad zvladl vypit jen dve piva. Zbytek prosedel u prazdneho pullitru. Ja to nastesti âvyhralaâ s lahvi vina, ponevadz nebylo servirky potreba. Jedine plus je, ze restaurace vypada skvele a jidlo bylo vynikajici. Kuchare maji skveleho, ale ten personal na place?! Pripadali jsme si jako obtizny hmyz, fakt katastrofa. Jidlo tam nemaji na Ficany nejlevnejsi, skoro jak centrum Prahy... I v Mekaci se k vam chovaji lip. Tak nevim, jestli to byla smula na smenu? Posudte sami.

This place was suggested to us, and it was a good suggestion.The place is new, in the outskirts of Prague, plenty of parking.The staff is very well trained. Restaurant is a design gem, and so is the food. There is a hotel, restaurant and a coffee shop with ice cream. The food is great and it is definitely worth the trip. The combination of Czech and Austrian cuisine is so delicious. I would definitely recommend the Tafelspitz (Austrian national meal) and germknödel. The waiting staff is very well trained and helpful. The hotel interior and of the restaurant itself is amazing. I really love the decor and the tableware. I would definitely recommend the restaurant to anyone and the food is worth every penny.

Although it is situated out of the city centre it is absolutely worth going there especially for family with kids. Food and service is perfect. Playing room for kids with babysitting is great. Sports centre is also great,as before having a dessert you can make some small exercise. Very warm and welcoming place.

Visiting my son who lives close by - we always choose to go there. Excellent in most aspects bur the some elements of the service stopped me giving it top marks - the wrong dishes were served up on two occasions and they only had one bottle of the selected wine. All other aspects of the service and the food were terrific as always.

We went to Letem Svetem last week after not being there for over a year or so. As always we were welcomed with a smile, like old friends. The owner is as pleasant as always, enthusiastic and generally concerned about guests. The food was absolutely perfect, especially the mushroom soup, I still remember its flavour - rich but subtle, smooth and packed with flavour - no doubt the best soup (of any kind) I have had so far. My main course - fish - was sublime, perfectly cooked with interesting variety of greens (really high quality veggies!). I definitely recommend this place, because there are very few restaurants where you get such great food along with genuinely friendly and not uptight atmosphere :) thank you again team Letem Svetem, see you soon.

Very good cuisine, some excellent fish dishes, but also very well-prepared typical Czech dishes of home-made quality. Perfect service. A great place to go if you are spending the summer day at the adjacent lake - fine for swimming, if a little cold even on hot days.
