Nos gustó muchÃsimo la comida del lugar. Probé por primera vez el atol de piña y estaba delicioso. Muy original la decoración del lugar y nos atendieron muy bien.

This is a simple family business with a reputation all across the region. There is only one item: oven roasted pork. It is roasted in ovens that you can see from the small dining room. The pork is astoundingly good. It is served plain with tortillas, or as a plate with sides of rice, beans, and a very tasty roasted potato. Some families order whole roasted pigs as take-out. This is a wonderful place for a very traditional regional dish. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. This is "cheap eats" by North American standards. Lunch for three with a tip was about $20.

To be honest I have only ate the enchiladas here because I know they are the best. The staff is always nice and food is ready when they say. An order of enchiladas is 40 lmps. An order is two enchiladas. You cant beat the price or the taste!!

Las Haciendas is a typical restaurant for Santa Rosa. My wife and I have been patrons of the restaurant for many years. The food is good tasting and in good-sized portions. You should not leave the table hungry. We usually have a doggie bag. The service is basic. You have to raise your hand to get the server to return to the table; but this is typical Honduran service. The menu is varied. The beef and chicken are the freshest choices. The fish and seafood have been frozen. And, as in most Central American establishments, don't come if in a hurry. The lemonade with soda is excellent!! The outdoor seating is best on the warm evenings. A great value of food taste and quantity vs. price.

We visited Zotz for a light lunch while wandering the streets of Santa Rosa de Copan. Good interior; nice lighting and the walls covered with farmed memorabilia, from Elvis album covers to Honduran historical items. They put some effort into it. Friendly atmosphere, comfy feel.Interesting menu, but we settled for an appetizer platter; the server helpfully steered us a way from the large one to the regular, which was more than enough for two at $9.50 - onion rings, bbq chicken, deep-fried chicken wings, celery and dip and more. It was good, and after six months in Honduras a little deep-fried was welcome. Beer is $1.75.We'd go back to try more on the menu. (There was a dance floor DJ booth; looked like things might be lively at night.)
