In a dramatically refurbished stone winery/barn, this owner-operated restaurant has it all for food, comfort, and hospitality. With a superb wine list offering the best of the region, and food that is locally sourced, fresh, and inventive, this restaurant is sophisticated without being fussy. Incredibly romantic, wonderfully welcoming, it was by far my favorite dining experience in Alto Adige.

On 5 floors, the long-standing Thaler shop unites the exclusive world of beauty, cosmetics, living culture, and upscale gastronomy. On the top floor, there is the in-house restaurant café, which is open all day. Lunch is served from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m

A beautiful new setting, both the internal spaces and the terrace overlooking the skyline, welcomes the guests. The architect did a perfect job. The management and the people understand how to provide a good service, adapting their approach to each table. The menu is a short one, as I expect in a quality restaurant, and mostly based on local products. Price to quality is competitive. After visiting Bolzano and need a quick lunch before leaving? This is the place. It is outside the historical town and next to the highway. And it is at the gas station. Very busy with locals but service was quick and food was plentiful and great. 3 stars because you are starting at the gas station. But food will be good. We had the salad, pasta and gulasch. All for less than 20. Check out the picture.
