A favourite of all the locals. Trendy little pasticceria hidden away in snoozy little Gavirate. Often frequented by sportspeople from the Australian training centre in the vicinity. The brioche and coffee are not to be missed and Luca and his staff will always make you feel welcome.

The service is quick, the servings are generous (both drinks and food) and its extremely great value. Location is right on the edge of the lake and its an ideal place for a drink after a walk or a cycle on the lake. Highly recommended for a drink and a casual meal weather permitting. No English is spoken but its relatively easy to get what you want if you have only rudimentary Italian skills.

What should I say, for sure I am glad to have found such a nice place in the center of Varese where you can taste excellent Italian food, such as piadinas, local cheeses (it is so rare to find them), ham and salami dishes, etc.. There is also good wine and draft beer.
