Chose this establishment to remind me of Italian beach holidays of my youth! For a fee, you get two loungers or deck chairs, an umbrella and access to showers, changing cubicle and toilets. There is also a bar/restaurant for coffee or cold drinks and salads/focaccia etc. There is also a lifeguard on duty. The beach is gritty rather than sand and the beach shelves - perfectly acceptable if you use a little common sense.

On the way back to Levanto by feet we look for an open place to eat on the late afternoon. To great luck we found this Caffè - at 15.00 still sitting in the sunshine we became a spuntino. Everything was tasty and nice presented, the ice was really TOP!

Would I recommend this restaurant to a friend? Yes. Would I eat at this restaurant again knowing what I know? Yes. This is a small little bar/restaurant that seemed to be very popular with local people from Levanto. It is a 5 minute walk from the train station. We chose to eat here while waiting for our next train. The staff was very friendly and the sandwiches were very good. If you found my review helpful please let me know by clicking the Helpful button. Excellent basic cafe off the main drag in Levanto. A small coastal town in Italy. Well placed to be near the centre of the town, good quality Italien food at a great price. Served by great locals who are very generous with their time. Post office next door which makes it a great place for the locals to sit and talk, as they probably have done for the last 40 years. Next to the bus stop if you have to make your way to one of the local villages up in the mountains. My fifth visit to this town and it will not be my last.

The newly opened M.G.Bar located in a side street, very characteristic of via Roma, with tables outside to dine in peace meals, breakfasts, cocktails at reasonable prices .

I visited MG bar for lunch with my husband and a friend while on vacation from North Carolina. The employees there were very warm and friendly. They even helped me practice my Italian! We had pizza and pasta with pesto. Both were delicious! Definitely worth visiting this bar!!
