Iv had a good few visits but one person in particular really makes us feel uncomfortable. Her attitude is not manager material and should be aware that for regular customers come back that they need to be made to feel welcomed I personally believe that sheâs not a very nice person especially for management. I have 2 daughters one of which is a toddler and kids make a mess, I try and tidy up and I have been tutted at by herself as she picks up a bit of rubbish which I was going to do before I left. Very unprofessional which is a real shame as every other staff are lovely, she just puts a real major dislike to Eatonâs cafe.I believe she goes by the name of Tracey My family and I will not be coming back due to Traceyâs behaviour.Thank you for your feedback. I think it is very interesting that you have since returned to Eatons after posting your review. I would, however, like to apologise to you as you said that I made you feel uncomfortable because of how I reacted to rubbish being dropped You are more than welcome at Eatons and I wish you the very best. We recomended to the dolphin by the manager of the local gun shop,called in on the off chance.We was made very welcome by the lady that served us couldn't do enough to please us. very large portions i recomend having the praw and crayfish cocktail with homemade bread and butter, and also my wifes starter fried bri and cranberry. For mains i will aslo recommend steak and kidney pie with mash and vegtables my wife had liver and bacon with mash and vegtabels witch were very large portions . For dessert i recommend having blackberry and apple crumble with custard which homemade and superb. The chef came out and made sure everything was to satifaction couldn't fault the service or the food. we will go back to another meal to see if it is just as good as the last one the trouble is there is to many options. we are going to try once a week to just go through the menu .

The lunch menu is comprehensive and tasty. A small hiccup with a plate of food was brilliantly sorted out by the duty manager. Then get knowledge of beers was demonstrated and ended with a complimentary gift wrapped bottle!Service with a smile and left us saying we will return.Hi there, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us your review. The Vine has new leaseholders following the departure of Steve and Tanya Mann. This was our first visit since the change. It was a Saturday night, the bar was empty, the food was below average pub grub and neither of the two new leaseholders even made an appearance. Very disappointing. What are the new guys thinking, what is their plan for running a successful village pub ? Whatever it is it was not evident from our visit. This has gone from a great place to eat with a busy bar, to an empty bar with poor food. unless something changes this isn't going to last.Dear Sir, we are sorry that your visit to The Vine wasnât to your liking. The chefs that are here are actually the same as when Stephen and Tanya were here. Can I ask what food you had and what was the problem with it. As we werenât available you were more than welcome to speak to our staff and they would have sorted this out for you. Oysters again!My number one place to stop off for a simple good wholesome lunch whilst visiting Braintree. [Added benefit of convenient parking close by in Sainsbury's car park].As always, jolly good grub, well cooked and presented by friendly and courteous staff, at a very reasonable price. Absolutely delightful meal, great service, the smallest details not forgotten! I genuinely think I am hard to please and quite fussy about food quality and service! I couldnât fault the chophouse! Lovely ambience and incredible food! The choccy brownie.....I have tried and tested many many brownies......but this was a solid 10/10! First meal out in a while due to having a new baby....I have already asked if we can go on my birthday in Feb next year! Thank you for a lovely evening, you deserve every success. Have visited the Glass House several times and never been disappointed. Delicious home made cakes and very generous size scones with large pots of jam and cream provided. Love the china cups and quirky decor. Friendly service great value - recommended.

On the recommendation of friends (who came with us) we tried the Weavers restaurant. Hidden away at the back of the Bocking United Services Club, so ample parking, although first time visitors might struggle to locate. We were warmly met and shown to our table. Fresh flowers and polished tableware was a good start, we had the choice of a la cartel or a set menu from which you could choose one or two courses (ample choices, mist from a la carte menu) for a very good price. Specials of the day also available. With many choices on the set menu, we all opted for this and we weren't disappointed. Food was plentiful, absolutely delicious and well presented.I might just add, but certainly not a criticism, that the butter accompanying the homemade venison pate (yum!) could have been a little softer. As I said, that would be the only point to make in an otherwise delightful lunch.They aren't open everyday, so you would be wise to check and book, as I believe they can be - unsurprisingly - busy at weekends!

Called in for a quick lunchtime snack. Revamped restaurant offers delightful surroundings. Shared three small plates between the two of us which was exactly what we were after. Tempura prawns, Brie and mango filo parcels and firecracker chicken were all delicious. Fantastic staff added to the whole experience. Weâll be back.

This was our first visit and it was really good. Motherâs Day meant we had to wait a little while for our table but it was worth it. Roasts were enormous with veg served separately and the Beef Bourguinon was fabulous so tender and tasty. I felt really full, but managed to squeeze in a baguette bread pudding with cranberries and creamy custard, also the apple pie looked really good again with creamy custard. The young man who looked after us couldnât do enough for us and altogether it was a great experience. As I said first visit but not the last.Hello Mo H!
