Leonidas is the name of the owner of this restaurant. It is actually a grill house situated by the square of a village called âAriochoriâ. It is located at about 17 km from Kalamata to the road to Tripolis. If you want to go you better ask someone local because I cannot describe it in writing (I could drive you butâ¦) Anyway this village has other restaurants that are also very good but my favorite is the grill house of Leonidas. He has only fresh meat; you can choose the part you want and the way you want to be grilled. But what is great is that Leonidas is a âmasterâ in barbecue. No matter what the meat is always delicious, juicy and full of taste. You can also have fresh French fries, greek salad, various vegetables and zucchini burgers as delicious as these of my motherâs. And all these with very good prices. Leonidas restaurant is an honest place with wonderful food that you will enjoy.

We had a very nice dinner at Meet the meat. We had a burger, t-bone and assorted salads and appetizer. Everything tasted really good, came out fast and just the way we ordered. After the meal we got a complementary dessert consisting of fresh fruits. The waiter was very nice, smiling and attentive. Definitely a place to recommend!

We ordered both pita with souvlaki and burgers. Both kinds where top quality and delicious. Burgers presentation was impressive! All salads and side dishes yammies. Service was friendly and very fast although the restaurant was at its peak hours with many tables to serve. Well done and thank you for a wonderful time!Thank you very much for your comment! Found it when walking in Kalamata and it was a great surprise because we saw the reviews after being there. They have a nice terrace, itâs full of local people and the waiters speak good english. If you want to try real greek food (pita, greek salad,...), very tasty and for a good price, this is a great place.

Visited Kreopolio 29, just after new year.Went there for Lunch with family and friends. The place was an old Butcher that has been renovated. The atmosphere is really clean.The service close to perfectionThe wine list sufficient, giving good choices. Now the Meat. Plenty of choices Aged, special cuts, bio. The taste and cook is perfect.I revisited already. Highly Recommend it.

The Carmel (Haifa) Choir is currently at the Choir festival in Kalamata. As a group we had a light lunch here today. Everybody enjoyed the food they ordered: salads, roasted sardines, eggplant salad, etc. The restaurant sits facing the marina and if you have a sunny day like we did it is a most enjoyable experience. The service was very efficient and pleasant. Best of all was the wonderful food the chef prepared in a reasonably short time.

A great spot to stop for a quick, easy & delicious 'fast food' meal. Situated opposite one of Kalamata's oldest chapels in a pedestrianised square outside of the reach of commuting traffic & noise. It's a very popular, family run business in a very small unit - so it's not open all day. A must whilst visiting Kalamata.
