I wanted something local and rustic, this delivered. I particularly enjoyed homemade tagliatelle with local ragu recipe, with a great regional wine by carafe. I thoroughly enjoyed it, however was surprised that it was not too busy?I was staying at Hotel Imperial, they recommended this. Thank you.

Nice atmosphere, good service and tasty food. Very meat centric menu (there wasn't a single fish dish on the offered the night I dined). Everything was well prepared and the flavors were good, definitely a "rustic" menu. I wouldn't recommend this place for business meetings, at least not on the weekend, lots of families with little kids running around the restaurant even at 10pm. Good food, definitely better for families, than for business or romance.

On our Thursday evening visit, there were a lot of English people in the restaurant. We attempted to speak Italian, but our poor Italian and accents must have given it away as staff spoke to us in English and gave us the English menu. The restaurant was busy and staff were rushing around. Despite the restaurant being full. food arrived within ten minutes of ordering. The food was all right. Seating was way too cramped though - my husband had to squeeze by the pair of diners next to us to get into his seat - and he is slim! Cost was similar to other places like this - 35 euros for two mains, water and cover charge.
