This is the best place for breakfast in the area. Staff are brilliant, in particular Rachel & Bernadette who always go the extra mile. Great customer service and delicious food. Since the chef left, the food has gone downhill! :-( staff still nice but the burgers (pfc and smoking rodeo) were dry, small and tasted frozen. The home made onion rings werenât home made. Unfortunately this is twice now weâve not enjoyed it since the chef left. We wonât be bothering to go back now sadlyHi Em, we were sorry that Troy moved on, but our head chef Jordan is a very good cook! We're taking on another assistant chef, so hope to see you again soon

We managed to make a very last minute booking, knowing we might arrive late.The receptionist was totally fine about our late arrival, helped us with our bags to our room and made sure we didn't miss last orders!The room was immaculate, beautiful comfy bed, up to the minute decor and great shower.As we're regular visitors now, it's great to be known by the staff, who are helpful and informed about the plans for the hotel. Breakfast was brilliant as always.Highly recommend this hotel, enjoy your visit! Visited a few times over the last few weeks after hearing itâs under new management. You canât half tell. (Itâs a lot cleaner) New &Friendly staff. Dogs welcome and the food was second to none! The Sunday lunch is 11/10.... highly recommended! Well done Mike and Sara keep up all the hard work!

Great atmosphere, food and staff but a specials board should be in the place where you are seated with a menu. To have it in the bar where it cannot be seen is very inconvenient! This means you have to keep getting up to read it, maybe have it printed on paper and given to you with the menu?

Cosy pub much bigger than it looks, excellent attention from waiters and waitresses from the minute we walked in. The hardest part was choosing what to have, brilliant menu and specials all well priced.The food we had was lovely, proper chips as well as high quality food! Canât wait to go again.

After reopening due to a fire 5 months ago,My wife,Sister & myself,decided to see how they are ,we went on a rainy autumnal Monday afternoon,We found a table on entering,all the staff are pleasant & attentive,Pleased to say the menu hasnât changed,I had Fish ,chips & peas,( the fish was Large),Mrs had her usual ,Chicken Tallahassee,& Chips,(excellent).My Sister had Cock & Bull(Chicken & Beef Strips)& Chips.Pleased to say,The food was excellent.

We had afternoon tea and dressed in a Downton Abbey theme. Maxine and Shaun couldn't do enough for us. The food was amazing and plentiful, the service was 1st class and the staff were fabulous. Tom was super attentive. Please visit The Wheatsheaf you wont be disappointed

Called in for my wife's birthday although I had heard conflicting reports about this place regarding it being expensive I thought I would give it a go.yes it was a little bit dearer than other similar places but not enough to break the bank we had a lovely meal well presented and very tasty all the staff where very pleasant and helpful I would definitely recommend this place and will return
