It has been at least 20 years since I last visited this restaurant. At that time it was under different management. Good to see that the food standard is still the same as before. Of course, the menu has changed but the food is still pretty good. The place itself is not easy to find as it is located in one of the back streets of Panjim. Parking is on the main road. No valet parking. The tables are a bit too close together which is a bit of a downer. One is almost brushing elbows with the people at the next table. Service was quit slow - maybe because the restaurant was full. We ordered the Dragon Soup and the Crab Meat Soup. Both were good with generous amounts of crab meat. We also had a prawn and beef starter. Both were good though prawns were a bit limited. The sweet and sour pork with Burnt Garlic Rice was also tasty. However, the noodles were totally tasteless and forgettable. All in all, we enjoyed the meal and would not hesitate to visit again.

If itâs your first time in Panjim, then thereâs no better place than Viva Panjim for authentic Goan cuisine. I had the Pigling Torradinho - which was deliciously meaty. The Prawn curry cooked in a delightfully spicy coconut gravy (although it was rather lacking in the quantity of prawns). And the highlight of my meal was the Bebinca - a Goan dessert that needs no introduction and should not be missed!

Ambiance - beautiful setting - a Portuguese house converted for the restaurant. Soft lighting and live music. Perfect setting a lovely evening. Staff - Very friendly, knew the menu very well and extremely helpful.Food - The best part of the place!!! The food was stunning. Must have seafood when here but saying that the chicken fried rice was equally good. The food can be a bit spicy...just to be aware. However my fav was the dessert...the apple pie was to dir for!!!Totally value for money. On the first day of my arrival in Panaji, I was scouting for a restaurant, famous for the local cuisines. Then I had remembered Ritz, an old restaurant located on the first floor of a building on 18th. June Road and this used to be my favourite haunt during my numerous trips made to the city many years ago all on business. I along with two other participants for the conference, which would commence the next day, had reached Ritz at about 7.30 PM on a Thursday and were immediately accommodated on a table. The restaurant, famous for its fish thalis during the lunch time, was a little oblivious of its décor and interiors. We had asked for a portion each of âmasala papadâ, âsquids masalaâ and âmackerel tandoorâ as the starters to go with a couple of drinks. The squid rings prepared in a tangy sauce came with a humongous quantity and three of us had struggled to polish it off. Mackerel was quite well prepared too. For the mains, we went for âFish Ambotikâ, a signature Goan dish (chunks of Kingfish in a mildly sour gravy with pieces of Kokum) and plain steamed rice. Ritz has always been classic with its authentic Goan flavours and quite affordable pricing of food.

Been here with family, celebrating an anniversary dinner. Very nice ambience. Lovely decor, warm colors and lights, Food is good. The staff also are very nice and help in suggesting the menu. Also a complimentary ice cream was a surprise for us. This place has its own parking.Konnichiwa allangoa, thank you for the amazing rating. I was out shopping with the family and as dinner time approached decided to walk into Casa Bhonsle to satisfy my seafood craving.We started out with Chicken Lollipop, Squids Batter fry and Rava fried Prawns. The starters came out piping hot and delicious and disappeared in a jiffy washed down with Bira beer from the tap.For mains we had Prawns Curry Rice with Chonak Rava Fry. A plate of Prawn Kismoor is given complimentary with The curry. The sea food was fresh and beautifully prepared. Desserts was caramel custard and Tender Coconut Souffle which was so yummy that we had a second helping. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

I had heard the name of this restaurant but never knew that it was a quality restaurant. I visited it last month & liked it. It is certainly one of the best restaurant in Porvorim. One need not wait in queues outside other hyped restaurants in this area when you have the option of having food at this place. I found all food to be very good & tasty. Pricing is similar to any other restaurant in Porvorim. Service is good as well. Parking is available.

I visited this restaurant a few days back on some friends recommendation. I was glad I went there for lunch , although alone . The place serves very authentic Bengali Food besides some other continental dishes .Having lived in Kolkatta for a couple of years , I am quite familiar with the Mustard cooking & I can say without any hesitation that it was one the best Macher Jhool with rice , I have ever had . And so was Mishti Doi - very nice & crisp and with the right sweetness and flavor . Overall , a very good experience .Hi 52SRA, Thanks for your kind words.
