About 15 meter away from the Entrance of the Thasadet Market, is this Restaurant where you can enjoy ALL day ( i remarked from early breackfast till late dinner open) Good and relatively cheap foor. As i am most of the time eating Thai, i want to say...try and you wont be deceived. All known rice disches, curry´s and soups are on the list and all delicious. The western food, i can only comment the breakfast as i never eat other Western disch...well, good, tasty, and enough to get thru the day untill ure next meal. Englisch spoken service, and as far as i know the Boss should be a German speaking man... When finished and need transport...only 10 meter away many tuktuk drivers at ure service. Oh...one remark, if you like a German Beer...here you can ask for ;) . So, when in Nong Khai, no hesitate if you are close to Thasadet market, jump in and taste, maybe we meet and have a chat, when iam there .

Noy is a lovely host her husband the Boss always drunk rude etcA mix of Thai and Western Food.I think if u understand there is not a lot of food choices in Nongkhai ,so the food is just passable if your game!Goodluck

Mai's Restaurant has a fairly extensive menu offering European and Thai food although their take on chicken âprimaveraâ - which I ordered - is little different to mine but tasty nonetheless. The bruschetta was fabulous. Real bread for the first time in six months! The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The prices were fine but considering I didn't eat anywhere else in Nong Khai , I don't know if the prices were expensive or cheap in relation to other placesDefinitely family-friendly a large group had dinner there and were comfortably seated. Finally, the staff speak Thai, Lao, English, and French. Possibly other languages, too.Will visit again. As I will be staying across the road.

After living in Nong Khai for three years i discovered this restaurant and ate there twice a day thereafter.Both Thai and Western food is first class and portions are large.Everything is freshly prepared and cooked to order.The hosts Dave and Nat are super friendly and full of local kmowledge.There is an active group of regulars (English,Norwegian,Dutch,Kiwi,Aussie)who are always up for a chat.The restaurant is on the edge of town,close to the river.The area is very quiet and far from the bar scene.If staying in central Nong Khai it can be reached by a long walk down the river promenade.

Daeng Namnueng is a large Vietnamese restaurant on the banks of the Mekong in Nong Khai.Two of us had a light lunch here on the outside patio, overlooking the Mekong, enjoying the light breeze coming off the river.The food here is as authentic as you will find outside Vietnam itself.We had Vietnamese sausage, which you roll up yourself in rice paper, with salad, herbs and spices, and deep fried spring rolls with a spicy dipping sauce.The service was quick and professional.

While most of the shops appeared closed along the river-side walkway, we kept walking to where we thought that Macky's would be. Thankfully we kept walking towards the light...The Chicken Parmesan was fantastic along with the Blueberry smoothies. Our thanks to our waitress, "Add", for the great service.Hello Lantau Subic of Subic, Philippines: We're pleased that you "kept walking towards the light" and found Macky's Riverside Kitchen. This is the low tourist season in Nong Khai and many other restaurants are closed or operate on a limited schedule. During our five years in business we've only closed for one day. We are here to provide a good meal to locals and tourists alike. Thank you for complimenting our Chicken Parmigiana and Blueberry Smoothies and for recognizing Add for the fantastic service she provides.
