it is located within the Medina. Great location, a little bit small (it is better to get a reservation) but the food is really delicious. We tried felfel and white tajine....wow..... You can take dessert on the rooftop. Not expensive at all.

I have been to this restaurant in June for an Iftar and it had been recently open. I do not understand how could it not receive any additional review since then.I lived in Tunis for a while and please do trust me: La Goulette does have some nice gems where to eat, but they all come down to local fishermen cooking in front of you the fish you buy right next to the kitchen, some restaurants offering a standard menu for 10-15DT, and The House. The owners seem to be lovely people, the staff is very accommodating and patient in explaining to foreigners what they eating, the food is fantastic and introduces new flavours to what you'd normally find in any Tunisian restaurant in the capital city, and the design is very modern yet cosy. After finding the same Iftar menus evening after evening, The House was an amazing mix of tradition and innovation.

More of a coffee-shop, 5 different menus: salty and sweet snqcks; many kinds of warm and fresh drinks; breakfast/brunch formula; many healthy/diet choices.. prices are very reasonable.Service is perfectGood atmosphere/music/decoration..One negative thing I noticed: the waiter's clothes were not clean.. this needs to change, as that could be a show-stopper for customers!!
