Arrived during midday for an excellent lunch. Warm friendly welcome by owner who made great suggestions. A great selection of starters of which blood sausage with caramelised are well remembered.
Main dishes were great. Spinach well prepared and creamy went well with lomo and ginger rice. Subtle tasting but de piece de resistance was the chicken which came in it's own gravy with a creamy stock and bacon dices. This was divine and was so smooth it melted on my tongue. Divine!
Highly recommended and would like to commend the chef.
Have a coffee and relax bear riverside. A good 30 minutes walk.

The staff is friendly and the food was delicious. We had chicken soup as starter, the weather outside was chilly so it was a perfect warm up. We had roasted lamb kid and we couldn't have made a better choice. Big portions!!! And cheap!!!
Pessoal simpático e comida deliciosa. Começámos com uma recomendada canja, estando frio lá fora foi óptimo para aquecer. Depois… cabrito no forno… com batatinhas e cebolinhas… tão bom!!! Doses grandes e conta pequena.

It is a nice restaurant in countryside. As it is almost in front of another wonderful restaurant and after Reading some reviews, we had high expectations about this place. However it was a little disappointing. The dishes were ok but nothing that we can say UAU! The prices were a little high for those practiced in region (about €13,00 main dish). The service was very nice. I order the duck breast, but it was overcooked and with a very very sweet cherry jam. The Deserts were served in a buffet style and they were good.

Arriving late afternoon at the hotel, eating at this restaurant was a logical choice. The food was well prepared, tasty, and served with a flair. Service was attentive. Our companions complained about the portion size but I was happy.
Pricing was not as cheap as some of the other local restaurants but this class seldom comes at a discounted price

Everything was decent, except the boar meat. It had the taste of microwave reheated pork, which is not tasty at all and didn't match the other dishes we ordered.
When we brought this up against the waitress, she denied and offered bad excuses, even though everyone in the table had tasted boar before and never had it had such an awful taste.
Go if you must but please don't order the boar.

It was a good surprise to find this restaurant in the small village of Belmonte. The food and wines are excellent, all staff is really friendly and they receive the clients until 11:00PM. Don't forget to ask the famous cherry liquor produced by the owner's family.

Amazing restaurant, friendly service. Very quick service. Great food. Main dishes, Deserts and starters. Lots of space. Highly recommended. When back in this area will be my first stop.
