Well positioned pub in Deddington, facing the market square. Good welcome, as warm afternoon wanted to sit in the back garden. A lot of litter, empty cigarette packets lying on the ground, ladders leaned against a wall. Shame really as could have so much cleaner. Pub roast was ok at £12.95 but good that local food.2 rooms at front of pub looked cosy for winter and quite popular although couldn't tell if local or visitors to the area like us.

We went for lunch to celebrate a 90th birthday. The menu was extensive, the food tremendous and clearly prepared with quality ingredients by skilled chefs. The service at the table was excellent despite the restaurant being very busy. Five of us ate here on a Sunday lunchtime. The food was beautifully cooked and the service commendable.
