It may not be the easiest place to find but it surely is ridiculously cool and yummy.
Located in what I think is an old boatshed it is one great place.
Tables, chairs, crockery, simply everything seems to be one of a kind collected from probably a million different places.
Welcome and service by what I think is the owner have been extremely warm, friendly and authentic. Food takes a while to come out but given everything is made with so much love, it's well worth the wait. The quality of the food is absolutely outstanding - very high quality with fresh ingredients. Some of the best we have ever had.
Only three dishes on the menu - traditional Bacalao and one meat and fish dish each. But that is all you need really.
One of the loveliest, most personal restaurants I have been to in a very long time.

I read these mixed reviews and thought that we probably visited this place for lunch on one of its best days. The service was very good. Very knowledgeable and definitely taking pride in the place/food. The food was cooked very well. We liked both the fish soup (probably one of the best we had in Norway), and I liked my fish (I think it was cod fillet). Very tender and not oversalted.

I had hot chocolate. My husband had cappuccino. Both were good. Also had the apple cake, which was good although a bit dry. Nice interior atmosphere on a rainy day in Leknes.

This Thai Restaurant is in the center of town on the 2nd floor of a building. our group ate there twice, lunch & dinner, and everyone was very pleased. check the hours before going. the owner doesn't seem Norwegian, maybe Russian, don't expect warm service.

Cozy and good Cinnamon bun was great, coffee too. Best is that you serve yourself the cakes, so take the size you want :) Remember to notice the "lamps" in the ceiling. Staff was smiling and helpful.

Kraemmervika Rorbuer

Reviewed By Thoughtful100 - Lincoln, United Kingdom

We stayed here for dinner bed and breakfast, sleeping in the old fisherman's cabins (rorbuer) and eating in the nearby 'fisherman's hall'. Stunningly beautiful location - like most rorbuer in Lofoten. Authentic, charmingly simple cabins - the others we stayed in at other places were more luxurious and modern, but these had a special feel to them. Clean, tasteful, modern high quality bathroom. Fellow guests felt we had been crammed into a cabin too small for us so the other cabin could be let out and they were rather cross - who knows, something was a bit odd. The staff all declared themselves to be volunteers - also odd, what sort of arrangement is operating here? We were part of a group and ate in the 'reception' building, rather like a community hall, also slightly odd. The food was simple and varied in quality, part delicious, part too authentic for a foreign tourist's taste buds. The place is a conundrum and a good look at the website confuses me more with its pictures of semi-naked women draped over the rorbuer. My advice to the owner is to make the 'offer' clearer.

In the banqueting rooms, you can arrange intimate group dinners, business lunches, conferences or weddings in a beautiful setting. The rooms have ample space and are suitable for groups of 15-180 people.

We were a party of 8 visiting the Lofoten-islands, and stopped by Kræmmervika Havn for a bite to eat. The restaurant itself was not opened just yet, but we enjoyed some lovely Norwegian vaffler (waffles), coffee, soft drinks and ice cream outside in the sun. Wonderful scenery! Thanks for having us.

We ate here twice during our stay in Lofoten. The place has a very good atmosphere - pub/restaurant overlooking the harbour. The seafood was good and plentiful - hard to get through the massive prawn dish, for instance. But the service was at snail's pace, There seemed to be plenty of front of house staff, but the kitchen must be understaffed. Do not go here if you need to get away for an event (catch the ferry, go to a concert) afterwards.
