Badami is where some of Karnataka's most beautiful rock-cut temples are located. Carved out of a rust-red cliff face, they display not just devotion but also the exceptional artistry of the Chalukyan sculptors who toiled to create these monuments. Steps lead up to the first cave temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva and has a unique sculpture of an 18-armed Nataraja striking 81 dance poses. The next two are dedicated to Lord Vishnu of which the third is larger and has ornate carvings. The fourth temple has Jain imagery. Karnataka Hotels, Badami is close to the bus-stand and consists of two blocks of rooms. One block has 10 double bed rooms of which 6 are air-conditioned and 4 standard. The other block consists of 4 double bed rooms and 2 three bed rooms. The hotel complex incorporates a restaurant and a beer parlour.
Peaceful stay
Reviewed By ravis510We visited while on a driving holiday from Mumbai to parts of Karnataka. Good location and a peaceful place not too far away from the city centre of the small Badami town. It is close to the caves which is the main tourist attraction in Badami. Owned by KSTDC, we stayed in the AC Semi Deluxe Rooms on the first floor which are spacious and comfortable. While Mr. Shiv Kumar, the Manager / Supervisor was very courteous and accommodating, the house-keeping lady staff needs to be dismissed as the rooms are ill-maintained with stains on the furniture. Sweeping and mopping was dismal. Complimentary breakfast is mostly south Indian, but one can order eggs and bread. Food and service at the hotel are just okay. No room service provided. Ample parking space. Our 2 days stay here was pleasant and peaceful. We could even take a stroll inside the hotel compound. Overall, a recommended place for all.

Reviewed By Relax34341736192We had a comfortable stay at hotel Badami court with my family we felt like home about the service and guidance were given by the staff ,Rooms are very clean and hygiene at this COVID-19 situation had done a sanitizer before check in with clean sheets ,towels and bath amenities etc .Food was great with authentic flavours especially javari roti ,huslikal palya ,salad like green leaves Badami Puri as a dessert etc we'll prepared with traditional masala.we thank to chef who prepared those food . special thanks manthaya Hiremath who had attend all our needs at all time with smile We loved this resort cum hotel and had a sound sleep . Nice location ,great service ,prompt hospitality. TIP Don't get tense for your missed belongings at property they took care to reach you back .

Decent resort for family
Reviewed By puneethg78Stayed for 2 night . 2 Adults and 2 kids. The resort is about 1 KM from the Badami city. It is very quite and calm. The lawns are well maintained with lots of rabbits playing in it. I was told that this resort caters mostly to westerners and now due to corona travel restrictions, it was almost empty. The swimming pool was non functional. The rooms and bathrooms are ultra big with big balcony and swing ! The flooring were worn out and may need some renovation. The complimentary breakfast was good. Food was also decent.

Reviewed By Basudev DIn a prime location, good rooms and big rooms. Reception and others need beautification to cater to the present era. The washroom needs to be a little modern to feel the difference. Beds are good but service is better now compared to my last visit.

Reviewed By 775Jenniferruth775This is really more like a boarding house. It's grubby and my bathroom smelled of drains. There is no food but you can eat a few yards down the road. There is what could be a pleasant central garden but which is full of scaffolding poles and other rubbish. It is cheap, though, and you can easily walk to the bus station, where there are lots of buses to Badami etc.
