Nice hotel in a desolate location
Reviewed By GeekOnWheelsComfortable room, nice pool, unlimited but basic breakfast (buffet of toast, cereal, fried eggs, rice porridge and processed meats). Has a gym but was charged 70thb to use it. The location is by the road to the border, but separated by the railway line. Walking in the dark from the station was a bit scary. In daytime it would be ok. If you do it check the map carefully because the road is on the other side of the railway and you cross just beside the hotel. The border is about 5km away. I paid 100thb for a tuk tuk. When you get to the border the exit is on the left down a caged walkway clearly marked by official signs, not the agencies that people guide you to! Cambodian entry formalities is after a small weird town of casinos and duty free shops. I did think i'd entered without completing passport control, but it's after that. I would recommend NOT staying overnight in this border area if you can avoid it. But if you do the Thai side seems nicer than the Cambodian side and this is a nice hotel, though a bit more expensive than i would normally pay. Contrary to some other reviews the receptionist at least spoke English well.

The room and amenities were merely OK, nothing to write home about and no English language TV options. The swimming pool is long and somewhat narrow, though filled the bill for my daily swimming exercise regime. Tournesol Boutique nonetheless did have one mighty fine free buffet breakfast. It was tops. Buffet included fried eggs sunny-side up, ham, chicken, beef, rice dishes, bor-bor (a local porridge), a variety of fresh fruits, corn flakes, toast, milk, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Nice spread, nicely done. Tournesol Boutique is moderately priced and worth a night’s lodging to chow down on the morning buffet.

Highly convenient for the Thai/Cambodia border crossing
Reviewed By andrewbruceIf you want to break your journey, in or out of Thailand/Cambodia from the insalubrious border crossing at neighbouring Poipet, then spending a peaceful night or two, poolside at The Market Motel in central Aranyaprathet is the place for you. My ground floor room was very spacious with a big and very comfortable bed, spotless shower room W/C, very cold fridge for my beer ! Good A/C and good FREE WiFi access, but sadly apart from football ! I could find no English language programmes on the TV. The swimming pool is big, VERY clean and fantastic with lots of poolside seating. The Reception lady spoke English and was very helpful organising my early TukTuk to the bus station for my onward journey to Bangkok. A pity that there is no longer a restaurant at the Market Motel but I did find a good Thai eatery a few minutes walk away, to the left side of the towns central square area, next to a conjoined antique shop, but it closed at 6pm. Lots of safe off street parking if you arrive by car and the Motel is tucked away in a very secluded tree lined and shady location. Reviewed By shadgeramiAs i was following the map to reach the hotel, got lost and the management picked me up which was extremely nice of them. The room was clean and the bed was very firm. Location could have been a bit better, but overall i was pleased.

Bardzo blisko granicy z Kambodzą - bardzo uczynny właściciel hotelu - umówiliśmy sie z nim że zostawimy samochód na noc i po powrocie z Kambodży odbierzemy. Nawet nie chciał za to pieniędzy. Domki bardzo czyste. Stołówka tez czysta. Uwaga: na sniadanie podaja jajko sadzone - prawie wogóle nie spieczone - trudno było wytłumaczyc obsłudze..w czym problem bo angielski nic a nic :-( Ale bardzo nadrabiali chęcia pomagania :-). Łatwy dojazd - przyjechalismy w nocy a mimo to napis neonowy bardzo łatwo zobaczyć - trafilismy za pierwszym razem.

Close to the border
Reviewed By ChicoRanManWe paid about $22 for a night in this bungalow. It’s about 5 km from the Thai-Cambodia boarder and is a good, inexpensive choice for and over night. At first they placed us in a couple of double rooms (for three of us), but the rooms were very basic and not worth the $11 each. The reception switched us (after my wife was handed the phone to explain to someone who spoke English) to a bungalow that was much better. Free bottled water. Good a/c in the room. Nice hot shower water pressure. It’s a few km from downtown Aranyaprathet, so you’re best off taking a Tuk Tuk into town.

Reviewed By abookingThis is the best hotel in town. Good enough rooms where you cant hear the neighbours. Nice pool and excellent service. Breakfast was a bit average. Everything run out and have to ask many times. Coffee was really bad. Tea was weak and horrible. Actually the coffee made me ill all day. But this hotel is highly recommended and I would return.

Nice bungalow - we enjoyed our short stay
Reviewed By Dom21076We only stayed one night in a no-thrill, yet spacious, clean and comfortable bungalow with good WiFi. Easy check-in. Car park very next to the bungalow. Hot water available at the reception in the morning for tea/coffee. Overall, a good choice for us!

Reviewed By Григорий АВсе прекрасно, начиная с цены, так как вместо забронированных на букинге 650 бат при заселении взяли 550! Интернет работает хорошо. Вода горячая, все кроме завтрака (еще б и за такую цену),- есть! И есть петухи!! Они начинают петь в три ночи и их много! Они не останавливались до 7:30 (времени отъезда!!) сон был похож на забытье на куриной ферме, где несушки всю ночь отказывали в ласки своим ухажерам)) Пешком до границы 1,7 км. Совет: ближе к границе есть отели. Совет два: если будете ехать на автобусе из Паттайи или Бангкока, не выходите где вам остановят возле стоянок тук туков, если вы не меценат! Требуйте ехать дальше! Всем хороших впечатлений!
