The B & B "Paradise by the sea" takes its name from its ideal location on the Roman coast of Anzio. The structure includes two B & B, managed respectively by father and daughter. The villa built in the early '50s by Amedeo Nazzari famous actor, who loved to organize parties with the international jet set and used it to relax in his corner of paradise
Nice beach but thats it
Reviewed By carl dVery nice building overlooking a beautifull beach. But 45 min. walk from the center so you definitively need your own car or your bicycle. The BB is in zone where even 2G doesn't work and their wifi is a sad thing, not working at all. Shower is an adventure, scalding hot and icy cold at the same time. Weird. Staff is kindly said not very intrested but that atitude seems to be a quite common thing in Anzio. Too near Roma, maybe. We re far from the hospitality you encounter in other regions. Only the cleaning woman is helpfull and smiling. Rooms are small and hot. The place is saved by its really nice beach. If you don' t intend to spend the day in the water, avoid, otherwise it is -once again- one of the best beach you can find.

Only bad side of room was curtain because It was impossible to get down and sun light light the room very early, Breakfast It was poor and there was very little alternatives. Parking. There is no parking in the hotel and It was hard to find car parking place to near. If you found It was quite expensive. Staff Staff was friendly and warm, Location Location was good.

Reviewed By Stockholmer_67We found ourselves serendipitously stranded in Anzio between arriving by air to Rome and the ferry to Ponza the next morning. Decided to try this BnB and were impressively surprised. It could not have been a better stop. Beautiful rooms and a welcoming swimming pool in a lush and well-groomed garden. Very friendly and hospitable hostess, who kindly drove us and our luggage to the ferry in the morning

We arrived on what was an emotional trip. 3 brothers visiting the war grave of a late uncle killed at Anzio in 1944. We arrived and the place was a building site. All floors were being replastered with builders, materials,planks, ladders and unfinished electrics everywhere. Had we known we would have rebooked elsewhere. Our rooms were fine having just been refurbed (part of the new works we suspected) there was no WiFi as advertised and breakfast consisted a most basic help itself arrangement. Cellophane wrapped pastries, jam but no butter, fresh bread or toast making facilities Our hostess did not materialise until 8.20 am and was little help as her English is basic in the extreme. Coffee was by nespresso machine which she accused us of breaking. Not sure we did although we could not get it to work. Her response was to become agitated and offensive and insisted we replace it. In normal circumstances we would have told her where to get off but were about to embark on our emotional journey to the cemetary ( which she knew)and we agreed to give 40€ just to shut her up and avoid further confrontation for the remainder of our stay. She was less than gracious and her customer satisfaction approach did not exist. The location is first rate Anzio is very pretty and all others we met were kind and accommodating. Go to Anzio but avoid this place and it’s uncaring and client unfriendly owner

Reviewed By Carlos AThe room was nice and clean, everything else was horrible and filthy. There was NO STAFF on hand, we got the keys from the restaurant next door! We woke up to many mason workers fixing up the place, yet, no staff. Want a towel? Open all the doors and look for it yourself. Questions? Tough, deal with it yourself. The pool was empty and dirty, the whole bar area abandoned, even cigarette buts in the ashtrays. Our beach view was blocked by workers butts. It is not even on a nice part of town, far from everything.

Property located at 1,300 meters. from "Lavinio Sea" and 1,200 meters from the train station that allows to reach Rome in about an hour and a few minutes to reach Anzio from where hydrofoils leave for the islands of Ponza and Ventotene. The en suite rooms are equipped with all amenities and a private entrance.
Lovely place and great host
Reviewed By SarahS14374We spent one night at Di mare Di sale my boyfriend, our little dog and I. We really enjoyed our time there : clean and quiet place, very good breakfast in a lovely backyard, very nice host, confortable bed and pet friendly hotel ! We would come back for sure!! It's a little bit far by walk from the beach but you can easily take a bus that drives you to a beautiful beach in less than 15 minutes.
