Rejuvenation from jungle

Reviewed By AdeGan123

Visited on 1st week of March 2022. My family (3pax) was the only visitor at Resort. Many cancelled as last week has flooding at Jerantut but not at this resort. My family had a wonderful time. We stayed 3nites 4days. Resort owner (Ijat) was super helpfull. Ijat helped organise actives for us. All was well planned not too tiring. My hubby ❤️ love the jungle serenity. Our stay comes with breakfast and dinner. Since only 3 of us - the variety was good and we were often full. Tasty dishes too. Room was clean. Had good view of garden

Authentic and peaceful tropical place

Reviewed By Val D

I stayed there for a couple of weeks. In a room and then a bungalow. Great place in a beautiful and peaceful typical tropical garden where you can observe beautiful birds, butterflies and sometimes a harmless and funny varan. Very authentic place. It's just 5 minutes walking from the center that really worth it! The accommodations are basic, clean and cheap. You can choose the level of comfort you want (room, bungalow with fans and without or with hot water and AC). The beds were good comfort for me and they have mosquito nets. The rooms are good but the wall between each room is thin...The bungalow are very good with enough place between each. You can get correct WiFi in the common areas that are pleasant too. The rate are cheap between 50 and 90 ringgit ( taxes included). The owners are a Malaysian family very kind and that will do their best to make you satisfied and help. They can also provide guided trek and good breakfast for cheap. You can contact them in advance via whatsapp or just walk in.

Basic but ok

Reviewed By Frank H

Rooms are pretty basic. There’s AC, hot water and Wi-fi. Didn’t have much dealings with the owner, they welcomed us when we arrived, although we did have to ring them as there is no reception to check in to, but didn’t see them again. If you’re staying in the area you’ll know you’ll need to bring cash as there are no ATMs here. Also the hotels mainly accept cash too so remember to factor this in.

The best in Taman Negara

Reviewed By RH7870

If you have the chance do not hesitate to stay at Hana Guesthouse, we were there 3 nights and had the best time! Without a doubt the best place to stay in Tanah Rata village. Thanks to Mr Raziri, the owner is an excellent person who knows what hospitality is and is a great host. He helped us with suggestions to do hikes on our own (Day1: Canopy Walk and Bukit Teresek. Day2: Bukit Indah) as you definitely do not need a guide for these. I would definitely recommend to get a room with balcony at his new house. Just do not expect luxury or traveling is not for you. Enjoy the world's oldest rainforest!

The only good things are the staff

Reviewed By zatyz

It used to be our favorite hotel and we have been staying here whenever we visit our grandparents for the past 7 years. However, our recent stay we feel so disgusted. The hotel and rooms are not well maintained. The room are not clean at all, there are hair and nuts all over the floor, it was so dusty. There are lizard dungs at the window and on the wall. The carpet are old and its about time to replace a new one. The pillow, bed sheet, comforter are all so gross. We wanted to change the room but the hotel was full. So we asked the housekeeping to clean the room again. It was ok but still not that clean. The only good things are the staff are friendly and helpful. I believe that the money that they spent on swimming pool should have been spent to upkeep the hotel instead. Hopefully the management will keep this into consideration since there are new hotel in town.

Great place

Reviewed By WattsWorld

Clean and comfortable and just a five minute walk from the jetty/town centre. The family who own the property are extremely friendly and went the extra mile by allowing us to leave some items with the whilst we explored Taman Negara. Parking was available and it is a 200-300m walk to a great breakfast place on the corner of the road. We would definitely stay again!

Stay at Holiday View Inn Taman Negara

Reviewed By Mikel88888

The place was up a slope and away from the town centre by a several hundred meters, but still fairly near. The place has a new wing under construction. The old wings look a bit run down. Basic facilities are there: Beds, air-conditioner, bathroom with basic and hot water shower. Bottles of drinking water is provided but there is no facility to boil water in the room and no other drinks provided. There is no TV, no WiFi, no meals, no restaurant. The shower initially lacked water pressure, but after removing the filter and cleaning it out, the pressure was much better. Expected a bit more for what we paid for it.
