Beautiful place
Reviewed By Kerry KMy partner used this hotel a few years ago on a regular basis for work. We decided to stay there as we were going to Silverstone the following morning which is 25 minutes away. When we arrived the owner greeted us, he’s so friendly and helpful and nothing is to much trouble for him. The hotel is very old worldly but spotlessly clean. It has beautiful sunny gardens that you can relax in and within walking distance to the town centre. I would definitely stay here again.

His lack of professionalism overshadowed a good meal... seemed to misunderstand the concept of friendly service. Also would have been nice to have seen any notice that cash would not be acceptable prior to ordering, not sure that is allowable to be honest.

Ridiculous parking charge!
Reviewed By johnnyboyyorkSecond stay here. Much improved cleanliness of corridors & stairwells this time. Room was quiet, clean and comfortable and breakfast was just OK. A few things for the hotel to consider: - why bother equipping rooms with SMART TVs and then disabling all the SMART functions like screen mirroring? - since my first stay, the hotel has introduced a parking charge. This seems absolutely ridiculous given that it is in a semi rural location well away from Bicester Village and local amenities, all of which offer free parking anyway! When challenged, the lame excuse was that the property had faced problems with adjacent building site contractors who had used the hotel’s car park all day making it difficult for guests to park. Absolute rubbish! If that was the case, why not set the new ANPR system to fine non residents only and just send penalty notices to unauthorised vehicles. Unless the hotel addresses these points I would not return again. There are other (more keenly priced) budget options just across the road which offer similar standards of accommodation and free parking.

Horrendous dump
Reviewed By P4024XNianmAbsolutely disgusting and disgraceful stig of the dump wouldn't stay here. Dirty noisy dilapidated room . Avoid this shack at all costs. Stuck it for 2 nights because we couldn't get in anywhere else. When we asked for the remaining money owed to us we were told basically to f#ckoff your not having it. Absolutely terrible attitude to guests.

Never have I ever had to clean the bathroom myself!!
Reviewed By Maz LThe receptionist said 3 cleaners had attempted to clean the bathroom, that it was just stains! I could not justify using the shower for myself and my 2 year old so I bought bathroom cleaner and sponges. As you can see, it was not just stains! **I couldn't not upload the photos, I kept getting an error message** The flooring is laminate, which was dusty and dirty. When I used a wipe on it, it left a dirty handprint on the wipe! When I left, I was told by the man on receiption that he would speak with the owner when he returned from his holiday, he suggested a partial refund for the state of the bathroom. It has been 10 days now and I have had no contact from anyone. The hotel does not have a restaurant attached but there is a lovely looking square a 5 minute drive up the road with places to eat, and a lovely looking hotel on the corner that I wish I had stayed in instead.

The food menu was good and varied as was the food which arrived in a very timely fashion. Excellent tastes and very well presented and also was asked was everything ok which it was. Always like it when it is a natural enquiry rather than a timed event. The staff were superb especially the manager / owner. Extremely pleasant. Is definitely a great place - only small but woth the hunt.

Reviewed By geowaleswe stayed here mid September 2014...........warm and friendly welcome from john and Susan miles to a good sized newish farmhouse set well back from road in large garden with architectural features,..various water fowl ...free roaming peacocks Our room faced out over these gardens..2 good sized beds.... good storage facilities....en suite toilet and shower.....separate wash basin in room...2 good armchairs & T V Everywhere very clean and tidy great breakfast...wide choice of cereals...full English breakfast to follow... all set in beautiful dining room with period oak furniture The M40 is about 5 min drive up the A 34 road to J 9.......( A34 1 min drive) A good base for exploring Oxford and other attractions At £65 for a double room we will certainly stay here again......a real gem TIP.......use this place if you are attending any sort of function at Weston Manor Hotel just over the road..............much cheaper!!
