Our family of 3 went for a morning of riding through Ventry hills and beach last week. Due to how busy the beach was it was changed to the hill trek for safety reasons-it didn't matter one bit. It was a fabulous experience with beautiful and patient horses and spectacular views over Ventry bay and hills. The day itself was a lovely sunny one and it was a peaceful easy going trek. My husband and son were a little nervous to begin but the guides were great for putting us all at ease and took good care of everyone. I saw them disinfecting all the gear afterwards which was really reassuring. Thanks for a lovely morning guys! I really recommend it!!!

I hesitate to publicize this gem in Ventry, Ireland, because I consider it my own personal ring fort for exploration and imaginative play. It is uber cool.

My husband and I happened across this amazing museum as we were walking through the beautiful countryside. We were captivated by the prehistoric tools, weapons, and sculptures. The owner was friendly and allowed us to take our time seeing Stone Age, Bronze Age, Celtic Iron Age, and Viking artifacts. We saw an enormous Woolly Mammoth skull and a Cave Bear skeleton as well as a fossilized dinosaur egg nest. The gift shop was full of lovely local handicrafts, as well as beautiful items from the owner's travels. I highly recommend this gem of of a museum. The price was so reasonable and the exhibits were fascinating.

Definitely worth a stop off to pick up some lovely mugs and have a lovely bit of cake with some coffee. Not the most amazing coffee in the world but ok. Especially if raining in which case it’s amazing!! The hens out the back are cute...

This skill has been handed down from generation to generation as sheep have been kept here on Mount Eagle for hundreds of years. This is the only location in West Kerry offering such an attraction.

Visited the beach with a few friends for a quick swim, ended up staying for over three hours! Beautiful spot, amazing landscape and the sun was shining, felt like we were in Spain. Water wasn't too cold either, the grass is great to sit by as a natural windbreaker.

This is a beautifully presented piece of Irish history. The audio visual centre is very good and extremely informative. The staff are really friendly, A must if you are driving the slea head.
