With 6 level of water fall about 1300 meter high from the ground, the place is very nice with the quality of water like pool and a lot of fishes in inside. It's about 90km from Kanchanaburi Town. And the entrance fee about 300 Bath for foreigners and 100 Bath for local people.

This is the most beautiful place i have ever been. It is much cooler than the centre of Kanchanaburi, where we were staying, and even if you get too hot you can swim in the falls at any level. We made the mistake of getting the 11am bus so by the time we got there it was peak heat over lunchtime. The falls are set over 7 levels and you can climb as many or as few as you want. We climbed all the way to the top, it wasnt as difficult as people make out, i wouldnt say i was particularly fit and i managed to go all the way to the top in flip flops! I would definitely say to go straight to the top as the top levels are the ones that get closed first by the rangers. You arent meant to take any food or drink past level 2 and if you want to take drinking water you need to pay a deposit and you get the money back when you show your empty bottle, which is an excellent way to combat litter, however it doesnt seem to be enforced. The fish in the water nibble at your feet which is such a strange feeling at first but you get used to it and have lovely soft skin afterwards!

Khuean Srinagarindra National Park has lots to offer: caves, Forests, a huge Reservoir, beautiful drives, mountain scenary, Waterfalls.... Pretty much everything that Erawan has to offer, but without the crowds.

Firstly the museum is very good and very educational for anyone not knowing the full history and story of the Burma - Thailand Railway and the plight of the POW's and Civilians that were forced to build it. Made famous of late by the film "The Railway Man" this really is a museum and a piece of wartime history not to be missed. The Museum is open every day except Christmas Day from 9am until 4pm and admission is free. From the museum we took the trail down into Hellfire Pass. This was quite a climb down quite uneven steps and rather strenuous in the humid heat, but really made you think hard about the conditions the poor guys working to dig out this railway cutting had to endure. My Great Uncle was captured in Burma during WW2 and we are not sure if he was made to work the railway or not but he certainly endured being a PoW in this region and it just makes you think hard just how dreadful life must have been... Visit, remember and respect what went on in Hellfire Pass.

We are a family of 4, and decides to have one day trip from Kanchanaburi the Waterfalls. We had 2 options: Erawan and Khamin as they have seven Waterfalls both, and in the same direction. We had recommendations to go for Khamin, and so we did. After passing the more popular Erawan Waterfalls, we continue another 45 minutes drive, and were not disappointed. The place is well organized and clean. The passes between the Waterfalls are very convenient. It is less crowded than Erawan, and as far as I remember Erawan (I visited there in the past), Khamin is even more attractive visually.
We were 2 adults with 2 children and a car and paid 1030 Bahts.

The entrance fee is 300 baht that includes entrance to Erawan waterfall parks. Bring your sneakers and water. You will need it. It is about a mile hike to the cave. The amount of stairs are insane!! So take your time getting up there. Once you make it there is a tour guide that will lead you into the cave. The cave is really big and the guide used a lantern which will create awesome affect on the sculptures. Please tip the tour guide about 40 baht or so.

The Time Memorial Park is located in Srinagarind Dam. Drive to Erawan waterfall and you will see the signage to reach there.

Sundial is a device built from concrete and iron, measuring 23.80 in length along the curve. The widest part is 9.95 m. and the narrowest part is 6.25m. with thickness of 0.80 m. The gnomon, which casts shadow from the sun, is made of alloy. It is 6.50 m. long and 1.00 m. wide. The gnomon face South, tilted 28.6 degrees to Latitude 140 24’ 32” N and longitude 990 7’ 36” E. The dial surface is covered with white grey color coated tile that have symbols and acronyms to tell the months.
Dark blue color line tells the month between January and June.
Light blue color line tells the month between July and December.
Dark red color line tells the time for the month of January to June.
Yellow color line tells the time for the month of July to December.
The number 07.00 to 18.00 at the end of the reddish-orange and orange color tells the hour. The shadow, casted to the dial by the tip of the gnomon, tells the month and season.

Chaloem Rattanakosin National Park is reported to be Thailand's smallest. Is this one reason it gets few visitors from other countries? The park preserves a beautiful slice of Thailand's jungle-karst country. There is an excellent trail that starts not far from the visitor centre. The trail goes through Than Lot Noi Cave - a 300 m natural tunnel with some nice rock formations and a stream. The cave is lit until 4 pm. The trail through the jungle is then fairly easy until Tri Treung waterfall, a pretty but not outstanding Thai jungle waterfall. After that the trail becomes quite a bit more strenuous until it reaches Than Lot Yai Cave. This is really a natural arch through a limestone wall. It is a spectacular sight indeed and makes all of the effort worthwhile. To hike from the visitor to Than Lot Yai Cave and back takes about three hours at a sensible pace. It is best to start in the morning as the lights in Than Lot Noi cave go out at 4 pm! It is about 80 km from Kanchanaburi to the Park, so it makes a good day trip. I saw only one other farrang while I was there, but there were a lot of Thai visitors, as it was a public holiday.
