Good view of the Durance valley and Manosque, can be quite pretty certain times of day. Peaceful setting good for a real picnic. Small parking area. Late at night and early in the morning, listen for the nightingales in the spring.

The lake is about 90 km from Marseille. It's got everything for the whole family, children can watch the ducklings in the water, play in the children's area with all kinds of game, father can swim or play the mini golf, mother can prepare picnics on the long bench with seats designed for this purpose, or play the floor bowling called pétanque, teenagers can play badminton or volleyball. On arriving the lake, directly you are in an area of pebble beach under the surveillance of the lifeguards, We walk around the lake in a circle following the forest to reach another 2 Beaches with pebbles and sands, but swimming there is at your own risk as these are not surveillance area. Here you can hire a boat doing some kayaking .We usually bring our own food and drink but for those who don't want to bother, there are snacks kiosks, ice-cream stalls and restaurants .It is not very busy last week as most people go abroad for holiday, But for those who perfer to stay put or for tourists, this is a good place to spend a hot summer day.

Worth the visit if you're interested in fruits & vegetables. The museum is not that special but the garden has a wide range of fruits & vegatables to offer. You can also buy some homemade applejuice. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

The converted chapel hosts a fabulous series of pre year 2000 paintings dealing with fears of the new millennium and past historical events and genocides and whether humanity will use its knowledge for good. Very well worth it.
