Gwilliam was really helpful and looked after us really well. Great fun and the different levels of difficulty will suit most adrenaline junkies, and you must try the giant swing, real 'heart in the mouth' stuff.

We had heard about Paulino from the reviews. We are not experienced birdwatchers--I'm more of an experienced photographer who also likes to photograph birds when I can--so we emailed him and arranged a half day for my wife and myself to go out with him. He called me early in the morning on the day we were scheduled to recommend we put it off a day due to the high winds. We went the next day. Paulino's car was in the shop, so we went in his friend Victor's 1951 Delta 88. We would never have found more than one or two species without Paulino there to guide us. It's amazing how we could be driving along and he would hear some almost imperceptible sound, signal Victor to pull over, and then would draw out the hidden birds with his recorded birdsongs. We saw a mix of forest and shore birds, migrants and endemic species. I highly recommend a tour with Paulino.

We stayed in the Pullman, and our tour rep recommended this diving centre to my boyfriend as he loves diving! He took a short walk down the beach to the hut. He took all his diving qualifications with him and discussed his experience with the staff. As he hadn't been diving for 3/4 years they advised that he did a shallower dive first to make sure he hadn't forgot anything. Which I thought was very professional and put us at ease that they were bothered about the safety of their clients. So my boyfriend opted for the shallower dive and then I was told I could go snorkelling above him while he did it! As I didn't have any qualifications to do the diving. Anyway it was brill to sort of do it together and made my holiday. He then went back the next day to do a second dive, which he said was amazing, and again the staff were very attentive on the dive and nothing was too much trouble. When he went to pay they give him a discount price as we had both been the day before and we took friends with us too. Great diving/snorkelling centre. Can't recommend them enough!!!

We went on the glass bottom boat when visiting with our children ages 1, 5, & 7. Our older children really enjoyed this and loved the opportunity to go snorkelling with my husband. They really enjoyed seeing all the fish. By having the glass bottom I too was able to see the fish without going into the water. It was a great experience for our whole family. The only downfall was that the pick up came to the beach by the resort. For us there was no dock so we had to go into the water. I was not dressed for this and the boat docked a little way out. My husband had to carry our infant and we struggled with the kids as the water got a little deep. The staff was awesome and came into the water to help us as I was about to turn around. It turns out there was a sand bar preventing the boat to come closer - perhaps this has changed now post hurricane. Also, keep in mind that this was only relevant to our resort. If we made it with three small children (including a baby) you can too! The water was beautiful, clear and warm.

If you are staying in any of the All Inclusive resorts in Cayo Coco or Cayo Guillermo this night club is a MUST. For $25.00 per person you get open bar from 10pm to 2am including round trip transportation. If you book with your travel agency they always send a tour guide who makes sure you are not left behind at the club at 2 am, believe me, you don't wanna miss the bus since there's no other mean of transportation after the buses leave at that time and the club is in a natural cave in the middle of the woods. Normally by midnight a live band plays Cuban music for about an hour. The rest of the time it's international recorded music with a DJ. Like I mentioned before it's open bar, so you only need to bring some cash if you wanna tip the bar tenders and of course, to tip the tour guide and the driver since they have to be there all the time and they cannot party and drink like the guests. I really recommend this place.

My husband and I went to this spa in 2014 and had the most amazing morning . At that time the length of the excursion was 1/2 day and that is plenty. We are definatley looking forward to going back in 15 days !!!

We went from the Memories Flamenco as swam with dolphins (both amazing and sad) drove a jeep to the Mainland (amazing!) Saw the outskirts of Moron and the impoverished conditions in which most Cubans live. This was educational and put life on the resort into sharp relief for all of us!
We had lunch at Rancho Palma - great food and a weird zoo with loads of chickens running ng around - bring tips for the staff. Then into Moron proper a very interesting city which reflects how the pre- revolution buildings have been let go. Watch for street people looking to help you out or get change for Canadian currency. They are harmless but thick on the street. A peso here or there is what they want and when you consider how big a difference that can make, you may not mind giving a few away!
Jeep ride back to the depot - you need a license and to be able to drive standard if you want to pilot your own. We had a family party of four so it was nice to drive our own car.
Bus to the catamaran ( the Torbellino) for an open bar (under the watchful eye of Che Guevera!) cruise to a beautiful sandbar island where starfish ( the big ones ) and pristine shells abound!
Great trip! $143 CAD ( booked on our Sunwing flight)
Bring toilet paper, sunscreen, swimming gear and towel, bug spray, license, passport and money for shopping, tips and any extra food you might want. We tipped the guide, the bus driver and the jeep tour leader.

All I will say is this..no place like home. I have been to Varadero, yes the Beaches are beautiful but to busy for me. Cayo Coco beautiful are just a beautiful, people are awesome, and because of the number of times I’ve been there, I have made many friends and am treated with kid gloves. I have been at the mojito, sol, pestana, Jardines Del Rey-Guillermo, I can’t wait to keep trying different hotels. I recommended many people to try Cayo Coco, all have been pleased

Our kitesurfing school is located opposite the Tryp Cayo Coco hotel that belongs to the Melia Hotel group, between the Iberostar and Colonial hotels, at a few kilometers long beach with white sand, in one of the most beautiful regions of the world - the Jardines del Rey archipelago (Gardens of the King)!
